Yes, Anna! We need a new question every week, right?

Let's start fresh... Someone come up with a new question, please!

Does anyone watches From the Actor's Studio?

Almost at the end ot the show they always ask Pivot's Questionaire:

What is your favorite word?
What is your least favorite word?
What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
What turns you off?
What is your favorite curse word? (maybe not this one... FF wouldnt allow it)
What sound or noise do you love?
What sound or noise do you hate?
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
What profession would you not like to do?
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

We could start with one of these

It's every week, yeah!

Wow! That's a lot of questions. I'm down with doing any one of those. What if we started at the top and just went down the list?

That's a good idea, that way we'll have several questions already.

What is your favorite word?

Great idea!

I had some time to think about what I was gonna answer to this question. And made the decision to give 2 answers, one English word and one from my own dialect.

When I actually read the question the first word that came to mind was 'wrikkelgat' which is a word we use when we are somewhere with people we know and one of them can't sit still. Now I've tried to pronounce it in English and it's just nothing like it. to pronounce it like we say it I should have written vrìckelhat or something like that

Now my favorite English word has to be serendipity. I loved that word ever since I saw the movie Serendipity with Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack. And in the movie Kate's character explained it as: It's such a nice sounding word for what it means: a fortunate accident.
I've done some more research on the word and Wikipedia says: Serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something entirely unrelated.

I'm looking forward to reading everyone elses answers!

Great words Jessie. Serendipity it's such a lovely idea, I love that movie too.

I have more than one word too: mesmerizing (attracting and holding interest as if by a spell) and siempre (always/ forever).
Mesmerizing, I remember the first time I read that word and thought how amazing that something it's so enchanting that attracts you like a spell, felt like it had something magical going on.
Siempre, in spanish we use it as always and also as forever, and for me it means compromise and hope, something everlasting.

Come on Jamie start thinking!

This way we won't have to hunt for questions!

I think my favorite word...hmm. Wow, that's a tough question! I have a favorite cuss word, but we can't say those on

I wanna say my favorite word is...dude. Or at least, that's a word I use more than I probably should. For some reason I just like calling people dude and it always sounds so funny when I hear other people say it.

Aww, Serendipity Sorry, my NS shipper heart was just really happy to read that I adore that word as well! But kinda like Michelle my favorite word as I've said before is mesmerized. I just love how it sounds and what it means!

Dude? Really?
Everytime I hear someone say dude it reminds me of the turtles of Finding Nemo....

Anna: I knew I was going to stole your word

Michelle: That's part of why I love the word so much!

Jamie: I'm the same way, I never think about it when I use the word too.

And ooooow I hate when my computer desk fights back!

You guys are SO thoughtful in your favorite words! I love that, I really do. I'm not really much of a words person, if that makes sense!

PS- someone post in the OT thread, and Love & Debate.
