Good on you!

I’m counting down to summer break… although I don’t know how to keep Margo occupied by myself for 2 whole weeks… I’m gonna have to start brainstorming soon.

2 weeks! Well maybe one trip to a park everyday or maybe visiting friends/grandparents once a week?

Yup, daycare is closed for 3,5 weeks, tom is home for 1,5w with her, I’m in charge of the middle 2. Visits, places with outdoor playground, walk in the woods, I was considering going to the beach but it’s a little impractical with her nap and most likely fear of sand.
Coloring, dancing are other options. Oh and potty training… which will be nice

I’m just hoping i won’t lose my sanity by the end of it

yes indeed! it's really necessary! considering she's at that point where they tend to strip to bare buts...she's still a little oblivious to her bladder. And school prefers potty-trained kids when they start.

Yeah, not liking it much but luckily it’s in day-shift instead of regular shift so I won’t be home too late on my last day

Wow, that news made it over there :O I can instantly tell you i don’t live anywhere near the floods. (Although in hindsight we only live about 2-3 hrs away from it, and the weather has been very nice locally) I know all footage is horrible and i feel saddened for anyone who lost anything due to it. And it’s amazing to see how solidaire people are. Helping each other out, organizing drop offs for stuff and furniture. Many have lost their home (or are gonna face one hell of a cleanup/rebuild) or will need to rethink about their vacation trailers.

Yeah, the images are bad. So far 27 passed away, little over 100 missing.
My sister-in-law lives closer to one of the areas and she’s military and has been called up to help evacuate people.

A solidarity campaign has been put up from the team of the red cross, and some press groups to raise money for all these people.

I’ve heard from my mom that some distant relatives from my dad have suffered from the floods. The whole downstairs and basement are in need of a redo. Luckily the upstairs place is still intact (2 families living in one home) so it’s still live able.

relaxing time!

All the flood stories are awful. Water can do so much damage.

Relaxing weekend and I slept like 10 hours each night.

31 passed away, still a little over 100 missing or they just can’t reach them.

Water is just the beginning. Some houses are going up in flames due to short circuit… like the water isn’t enough…

10… felt like heaven probably!
