Mother’s Day tomorrow! Don’t have a clue what I’m getting. Got delivered today and Tom still needs to wrap it.

Heading into a new lockdown exit phase tomorrow. But I don’t really get the new rules so I’ll stick to the old ones.

Was able to go visit my parents (took flowers with me) due to the new (and lesser) restrictions but went by myself. Tom went to his parents by himself as well. The new rules are quite complicated so most people are not changing the way they are doing things. The issue is worst with bigger (4+people) families.

I myself got 2 gifts, Margo had made a little something in daycare and Tom had gotten me a skincare gift box.

ugh... been seeing too much doctors lately... had to take Margo to the pediatrician again today and we've got a winner...we need to restart medication and control her fever...if only it had been 2 days later... work wouldn't be such an issue.

Oh dear Margo!

At least you got a nice Mother’s day and visited your parents.

I’m working and taking that Human Rights course on weekends, I have so much to read.

And we’re back on peeds... she’s on an iv. No more work for me this week. And I’m somewhat locked in with her. And the worst thing is that we’re being taken Care of like we might be infected with covid. Margo got tested but up until the point of a negative result, the nurses have to gear up with masks and a suit and gloves and everything just to be sure they don’t get infected. Understandable but with a 99% of being sure we’re not infected it feels elaborate.

I’m happy to read some normal daily stuff!

Oh dear Jessie, what a terrible situation for all of you. Is Margo feeling too bad? Please stay safe. And don't worry about the board at all, I'm here.

I don't have good news, we are on a terrible health situation, ICUs are over the top with patients, all my region is on total lockdown starting tomorrow. Is getting scary.

Still trying to work, and read for my course as a distraction.

She in a better state coming in compared to last time. 2nd round of testing shows nice improvement, she’s off the iv but still needs meds. If everything works out like they are planning, we might be able to go home tomorrow.

The Corona results were negative! We got moved to a more “normal” room, only masks for the nursing staff when they come in for the checkups.

The only “annoying” thing about all this... every time someone enters the room she’ll start crying. Mostly out of fear. It’s a difficult time and everyone needs to be precautious but it doesn’t help the little ones when they can’t see a face. Whenever they have to check up in the iv and need to come close and checkup on the bandage on her arm she’s screaming. I even have had multiple times in only 2.5 days where she would scream her lungs out while on my arm and her mouth next to my ear... if I’m not deaf by the time I’m home it’ll be a miracle.

Praying your local medical situation gets better! And people can be moved to lighter departments of the hospital or get cured and can go home to rest up there!

try to keep your mind occupied, it helps. Is the course something you can follow online? Or are actual classes moved up?

So happy to know Margo is better, hopefuly you will be out of the hospital in no time.
Poor darling, of course she is scared and everybody looks crazy with all that protection.

Here, is complicated. National hospital capacity is at 80%.

My course is online, I have classes all saturday with Google meet.
