Yes no plot devices were needed for Jeyton, clearly Leyton needed them which speaks volumes

I wuit watching the show when most of those things happenned, but sounds incredibly unhealthy.

Jeyton had real and relatable problems as a couple.

Yeah, I didn't really think about it at the time either

Except the stalker thing, that was clearly a plot device for LP....

& jeyton always felt real, that was the best thing about them

It just showed that the show was going to be more about ott storylines than actual genuine charater-driven plots now that it was on the cw

I mean, I don't begrudge a storyline about someone dealing with a stalker - unfortunately lots of young women do these days, but not in the way it was depicted at all. I was just a bad lifetime movie full of every cliche in the book, from the screwy keyboard to the room full of pictures

& as I already said, it was a way to come out of the B/L/P triangle where Peyton was the victim, & Lucas would put all his attention on her even though he had still wanted to get Brooke back in 4x02.

I totally agree.

Jake and Pyton would be ashamed of that storyline, their relationship was easy to understand and it was built in trust and friendship.
