In the promo pictures there are photos that show her with Stephanie. Do you all think this is before or after she knows about Derek's death? I think she looks sad and Stephanie looks uncomfortable. I think Meredith tells the group, so they all pretty much know. I think Amelia is the last know know.

Maybe what Amelia has to deal with her past is not drugs but the fact that her father died when she and Derek were kids and now Bailey and Zola will also grow up without their father. I am sure that is more of a trigger than drugs.

Me neither, because it is two different circumstances. She saw her dad dies and now her brother dies in car accident.

Derek was the closest she had to a father. Her dad died when she was five.

Exactly. She will feel so alone and sad. She lost her dad, Ryan, her baby boy and Derek.

Couldn't this be another patient?
I thought they were done the surgery, I don't think Owen would give her such devastating news before a surgery.

I took it that they were just getting ready for surgery. The promo showed Callie knowing because she nodded to Owen that Amelia doesn't know and really would she go through surgery knowing something that big and not tell Amelia? I remember they did something like this on PP, Sam was operating and they didn't tell him the person he was operating on crashed into his daughter.

Does this suppose to be the same day from when she talked to Derek?
