Absolutely. I think there are 12 regulars for Season 6, so it is going to be tricky to give everybody a piece of the pie. ER had the same problem around Season 6 or Season 7 because it had 12/13 regulars, and everyone complained that too few characters were over-used, and too many were under-used. The show had to get back down to 7 or 8 regulars before balance was finally restored, but Grey's did a pretty good job with keeping the balance in its first few seasons, so it shouldn't have as hard a time as ER did.

GA did a great work balancing out in S1-2-3 and S4 after the strike, but S5 even aside from Izzie we have many failed characters Erica and Sadie and Dr.Dixson what was the point?
I really want them to cut back with the cast, but adding AZ is not gonna help they are probably gonna devote more screentime for her and for Callie then lets say my couple MD.

To be honest I am quite happy that we got less Mer this season. In the last couple of seasons she just drove me crazy and in the last few epis of season 4 I started liking her again and I think that if Shonda had given her more screentime this season that would prolly have meant more drama, which would have driven a lot of people crazy again.
and as for 'Izzie's Anatomy' I understand that Mer fans are quite pissed that Izzie got so much attention this season and I am too pissed at Shonda for trying to shove Denny down our throats but I think that the attention she got after Denny was gone was just something that had to be. The woman has cancer, all her friends are worried about her and of course that means that a lot of things are centered around her well being. Or would you have preffered it if Mer was the one to get cancer?

I do understand that Shonda is not capable of writing for happy and healed character, but if its suppose an ensemble show then I'm expecting to see everyone getting their fair share of screentime not 30 minutes of Izzie lets say and 5 minutes of Meredith who the title character of the show.
Also I was really pissed by how much Denny got shoved around our throat as well even after the 100 eppy was the point of him?

Also No I would not want Meredith to have cancer, but 20+ eppies about Izzie is enough don't ya think

actually I don't feel like there was that much Izzie, at least not at the beginning of the season. I think that the problem were the numerous additions to the cast. Shonda tried to hard to bring new characters on the show although nobody really wants any more characters. She spent too much time on people like dixon or sady.

The Izzie thing with Denny started in 5.7 and it has most of the screentime and yes I did mention in my post:

If the show wasn't called Grey's Anatomy, you wouldn't know Meredith is the lead

Exactly this my point. The show is named Grey's Anatomy for a reason and the problem is that I'm expecting this to go on next season.

I never cared about Meredith's role in 'Grey's Anatomy' for me it's always been more of a tribute to 'Gray's Anatomy' rather than one character's life.

I liked the balance of season 2. There were less regulars, so everybody got quality screentime.

Back then the show was lead by Meredith and the Fab five like everyone there had a story and Denny was annoying to me even back then, but I could have avoided him without having to FF through lets say 20-30 minutes of the show .

yeah in season 2 Shonda seemed to know where she's headed. now it seems like she's only thinking about the finale epi of a season

I don't buy that she plans the whole season anymore,I think Shonda and the writers in general are dried up when comes to the show

Well they named the show after Meredith hence Grey Anatomy not Gray Anatomy, you cant have all season about Meredith sure, but you cant have it all to supporting character either.

I know right,I never bought into Denny or Izzie love for him it was just an illusion because he was so perfect.
