I know this wasn't really a scene with him but I love when Bailey is taking Derek in to see Addison with her poison oak and the Chief tries following and the door slams in his face.

That kind of reminds me of the time him and George were skulking around outside the door after Bailey went into labour... That was another classic moment...definitely...

I like those moments too...like the time when Bailey ended up calling him on the broken generator after he'd pushed her for the information on whose fault that was... Too priceless...

I remembered that he had a hand in that strike, and that the money that should've gone to raises for the nurses had been delegated elsewhere...though I didn't remember the whole bit about the surgical robot until you mentioned it just now...*shakes head*

I agree. The fact that JPJ can make a waffling, adultering, alcoholic, bureaucrat endearing is a testament to his talent. B/c honestly, the Chief doesn't have too many good qualities.

You know...you make a good point here...if it weren't for JPJ's acting where Webber was concerned, I think he could come off as an ass quite easily. Somehow though, there's just something about the way he portrays him that makes him seem like so much more than what he seems on the surface. In a way, I picture him as kind of a paternal figure on the show for the most part...though there are always the times he breaks out of the mold and surprises me...like his whole 'That's why I'm the chief' bit with Cristina...

JPJ is just a wonderful actor and can do such a variety of things. And I'm glad they give him a variety on the show.

Hmmm...so far it looks like he's chosen the hospital, but there's always the possibility of that changing when/if he realizes that there's more to life than work...

I just hope if he does ultimately decide to pick her after all of this, that he doesn't wait so long that she's no longer there waiting for him...especially given the fact that we recently found out that she knew all about his affair with Ellis...something that I sense will be coming up again sooner or later...
