Mark Sloan; Even though he’s not with Callie romantically, he still treats her like
his own. He is always there for her, during every up and down Callie has ever
had, and ever will have. As the writer’s blog said, he’s her person. Mark
takes Callie for who she is, and wouldn’t ever want her to change for him. He
likes her for the person she has become. There is no denying that Mark sees
Callie as the number one girl in his life, no matter whatever other women are in
his life. She always comes first. He loves her unconditionally, and even he knows
that she loves him too. She is the only person to see Mark for more than sex.
She sees him as a person, a person with a heart who is worth more than he’s
been credited for. The glimmer in his eyes and the sparkle in his smile that is
there every time he looks at her shows just how much Mark Sloan loves Calliope
Torres.


Callie Torres; She saw Mark as ‘McSteamy’ at first, not Mark. But that has all
changed. Mark is Callie’s person. Mark is Callie’s go to guy, for everything. She
sees him as a ‘friend’, not just a sex buddy like most women do. She knows
he’s good for more than sex. Callie knows that Mark is always there for her,
through thick and thin. She knows he’ll support her no matter what decision she
makes. He fixes her when she’s broken, and she will always do the same for
him. She knows that Mark is worth more than he credits himself for being. He is
the only person Callie trusts with her feelings. She would never give up her
friendship with Mark for anyone she’s in a relationship with. Even though Callie
probably doesn’t know it yet, we all know she’s deeply in love with Mark and it will
just take a flick of a wrist someday for her to finally figure it out.

Mark: How's the surgery on the old guy?
Callie: Fine. Damnit!
Mark: Callie..
Callie: I can't talk right now I have to find a baby!
Mark: Are you okay?
Callie: A baby was lost, on my watch. I'm Chief Resident, I'm responsbile and the Chief, he gave this to me and I blew it and now a baby's missing so no I'm not okay.
Mark: No, no you are not okay..
[Pause]
Callie: Plus I think my husband's having an affair.
Mark: Well if that's true he's an idiot.

Mark: I heard about your marriage, and if there's anything you need me to do to cheer you up I'm around day or night... night in particular.

Season 5

Callie: You're good for more than just sex, Mark.

Derek: Yang should be your type. She's intense, intelligent, complicated... She's like a single malt scotch, and you're used to beer bongs.
Mark: Callie Torres is no beer bong.

Mark: Are you okay?
Callie: Do I look like I'm okay?
Mark: (softly) You look great.
Callie: (smiles slowly) Then I'm okay.

Callie: I still have you, right? You'll still be my friend? And have sex with me when I want?
Mark: (smiles) Anytime.

Callie: I hate you.
Mark: You love me.
