But it was for all the wrong reasons, in all the wrong ways. You shouldn't scare someone into trying to force themselves to change. He may have inadvertantly inspired a change that'll ultimately be positive, but a truly stronger Meredith would do things on her terms, on her time. And no therapist would even let her get past the first meeting claiming she needs to whip herself into shape before her boyfriend leaves her for another woman. Which may be why Shonda hasn't put her into therapy, lol.

That would be a halarious scene the therapist would be like get the hell out of my office and come back when you're ready to change for yourself and not a darn man, lol.

I really would like to see her become a kick ass surgeon like she was in s1. I mean she was said to be the most brilliant out of them all naturally brilliant tat is. Christina was brilliant because she studied hard and made herself like that it was said that meredith was just like that genetically and i can believe that so i would like to see that again.

Just let her be single and rocking again i reckon. And hey if they want to give her a few hot hookups with Viper, well im fine with that. Lol. I mean i love merder but they're just at two different stages right now, im hanging on to my s1, 2 and early 3 memories of them to get me throught the cold nights, but i do not want derek pushing meredith into more than she can give right now! It'll over streach her, lol!!

By the way what specialty was Norman going into, psychiatric? Could he come back as mer's therapist, lol!

Norman SHOULD be Meredith's therapist. He actually likes Meredith. I'm just very disappointed in this persisting idea that Meredith is at fault for everything- it makes me more than ever want to see Meredith single, happy, and successful.

Meredith Grey is a sweet kid with a heart of gold, buried under a bunch of dark and twistiness. This is a girl(woman, whatever) who would do probono surgeries no questions asked. She's such a giving, sweet person, and all that gets tainted by freaking Derek. Meredith would grow so much faster and healthier if she didn't have Saint Derek breathing down her neck with a stupid ultimatum every three seconds. Sorry, I'm just sick of all the crap being piled on Meredith. She's a good person, it's just unfortunate that the man she loves doesn't love her for who she is IMO.

Cristina is her friend you can get love, affection from your friends, but I think that all Mer's issues will be fine once she deals with her father, since she now seems to be ok with her mother's past. The family Meredith needs to have and the love, affection that she needs to have is from a man that REALLY loves her, I think it's Derek, but somehow not in these days...

Derek loves her for who she is....after all what happened, he hasn't stopped loving her......he knows who she is and he loves her. He doesn't want her to change who she is, he just wants to be fully with her.....I don't blame him for that, it's normal he wants more than they have right now. Meredith needed to have a input to work on her issues, and what Derek told her gave her it....so he kind of helped her.

I totally think that derek loves her but right now he obviously wants more than she can give right now, which hey sucks but its the way it goes.

Personally i just want to see meredith happy and work through her issues, if is by herself fine if its i dont care i just want her happy.

Derek loves her for who she is. He knows about her issues (maybe you forgot his speech with Mark). He isn't Preston Burke who tried to change Cristina...

Meredith decided to change for herself because she realized that she deserves to be happy. Then if she wants to be happy with Derek, I can't see the problem.
