I have to say Hapy Meredith owns gah i love her and her and mark were so sweet in the scenes they had together. I'm glad Mark isn't being a butthead about Meredith anymore, they so understand one another so much!!!

And her with the little kid, now this is the meredith im talking about, i think she's alot happier when she's not dealing with the trauma that surronds her and derek. She has a good maternal side i think and she'll be a great mum one day!!

All i have to say is the apple fell really far away from the tree in meredith's case! Yes indeed!

I have to agree, sadly. Meredith clearly flourishes when out from under Derek's spell. They've stopped writing her with her own voice when she's with Derek, but get her in an episode like this and she's awesome, and fan feedback is positive even on boards that usually dislike her...maybe we just need single, HAPPY, healing Meredith for awhile. A long while. LOL.

Ellen Pompeo is an amazing actress. I loved Meredith in this episode.
Her with the boy, mark, cheif, lexie and derek. They were all such great scenes.

Meredith is one of my favourite characters and I'm glad that finally they are giving to her the space who she deserves.

...I really hope that's NOT true. How absolutely mortifying. She needs to be everything SHE wants to be. Not DEREK wants to be. She's not living her life for Derek. She should be living her life for herself, so she can be happy with herself.

Whoo it's been a while.

Meredith absolutely rocks. There is really nothing wrong with her. She's nice, smart, sweet, etc. So she can't open to the man who has lied to her, left her for his wife, called her a whore, jerks her around, etc. Big freaking deal. Derek has to earn her trust. He's done nothing except spout pretty words to show that he will be there. Meredith is an amazing woman, thank God someone saw that last night(Mark). Meredith needs to heal for herself, not for a freaking man. God Shonda makes me vomit. Talk about anti-feminist. Hey ladies, you better change and quick, otherwise your guy will leave you. Nevermind that he's just as messed up as you are. Ugh, so much hate for Shonda. But so much love for Meredith. I want her to be single. No S&M, no boys in the bar. Just a single girl, enjoying the single life, working on her issues, and being an amazing doctor. Please Shonda, please.

Meredith is a good person. She's not a perfect person, but she's a GOOD person, and she shouldn't be giving her time to anyone who makes her feel like anything else. People who tell her she's smart, people who tell her she's better than her mother...THOSE are the people she needs to surround herself with while she heals.

I think she's better off with derek right now. She's functioning really well without him around. I love her in this episode. She's strong and facing her issues alone. I think she should do it for herself not because somebody want her to.

Love Mark Sloan in this episode. She finally gets where mer is coming from. Glad he appreciated her to push the boy surgery.

I thought I'll be affected with the idea of derek dating/flirting with other women but I wasn't...... LOL

I will always love MD but for now I like them on their own.

Ellen is really an amazing actress... love her

Meredith decided to resolve her issues after Derek's speech. Of course she took this decision for herself but I think Derek influenced it.

I hope to see many other great episodes like this.
EP is a great actress.

She was really good this episodes, i agree with what everyone is saying. Its probably best if she is by herself for the time being.

I mean i love merder but i could care less if derek dates i just dont want to see meredith being all sad over it, if he will be there for her he will if he isn't then he isn't then she probably dodged a bullet with him. I want happy single meredith because thats when she's at her best, being happy. Also i would love to see her interact with more kids, she's so adorable with them.

Of course, I agree. I'm tired of stupid triangles and then MD had a triangles storyline in the season 2.

I totally agree. I do want Mer to have that moment of clarity and realize that she has to change for herself and not for a man. She could survive without Derek. She's freakin' brilliant and talented. I really want her to take her career seriously and show everyone that she is Ellis Grey's daughter. I guess it's the feminist in me.

Sure, I have your same opinion but it's also true that she decided to resolve her issues after Derek's speech. Then I think she will change for herself but Derek moved her in this direction IMO.
