I think Lexie would become a terrific neurosurgeon like Derek and Mark would be still the greatest plastic surgeon. I think they would have a simple wedding, sort of like Owen and Cristina. I don't think they would have kids now, but at some point - I'm sure.

I always knew Shonda was not invested in ML that much to be honest, but they had a fanbase , so she pursued it for a while. Krista Vernoff was more into ML and she left the show.

Yeah, I think that's what tore me up most about the end of season 8. Because we had all the hype that ML were going to be okay and they were going to have a "beautiful" moment in the finale. At least have the decency to not dangle hope for that SL in our faces. I know plenty of people outside of this website and irl who were invested in Mark and Lexie as well. That's really what turned me of of Grey's, Shonda's shortcomings like this. idk, I just really couldn't stand her after that season and that's why I stopped watching.

Hey everyone!

Can I be added to the list?

I started watching GA one year ago, and finally catched up with the most recent episode a couple days ago (I know I know, took me long enough

) and Mark and Lexie are the only couple I really cared about in this show. I was so sad to see them go, especially since it seemed they both grown up as characters in S8 (especially Mark), and it was claer to me that when they'll go back together again, there won't be anymore break ups, because they knew they can never be happy without each other. Ah, what could have been... I'm sad just thinking about it.
