I really want to see his mother again as well. Back then I really hoped we would get more scenes with her and Mer. But I also liked that she knew Mer was the right one despite spending so little time with her

I'm just worried that if they bring her back, they'll have her be sick.

Maybe she'll need an operation.

I don't know, I could see them taking inspiration from Patrick's own life and have her have cancer or something. Though if she needed a brain operation, Derek or Amelia couldn't operate because they're her children. They'd have to make it something else so someone else would have to operate. I don't think they'd let Meredith operate on her either, though I could never figure out why they allowed Meredith to operate on her step-mother. (That was obviously a contrived plot, to cause drama between Thatcher and Meredith).

I always thought that if they'll bring her back, it's to make her sick and maybe dying sadly.. it can cause ALOT of drama and angst to Derek/MD. Maybe they'll ask Patrick about it? IDK
