Wala is away and I've been appointed as an MST, I try my best but I'm not like perfect into this show and actually don't have much to compare to.

I do not disrespect other posters on a personal level. I no longer post in threads of ships I do not support. I think I am respectful. I am allowed to have an opinion on the actress' and if you travel into a non shipper thread and read it, then it is your own issue to deal with.

We're not here to blame people or aim anything at anyone. Plus, since there was no direct mention at someone, don't take personaly post that might not be about it.

I'd like to remind anyone that this is not a place to get at each others. If you have something to say to someone, you can PM them or report comments/posts that you do not like to the moderators that will take it into consideration and try to make everyone live here happily (key word being try lol!).

I've been watching the show since day 1 but never got involved with the board because I don't get into tv shows board but I'm temporary assigned to this board and I'm trying to help as much as possible.
Since you guys are lucky enough to have over 13 seasons of shows, you can find common ground to talk about things you might like or dislike, it's not disrespect to not like something but you can do it nicely. For example, I don't see Alex/Mer romantically involve, some do, but it doesnt mean I don't like them. I like their relationship. Common ground being that we love the characters together, not on the same level

the board is doing much better and the warning will not be extending since we've passed the february count high enough

And you and many others have bashed the actors based on their looks and ages. Opinions on the characters, fine. But when you bash the actors, namely Ellen, I have a problem with that and many others do too.

As far as this thread though and the board, it has to pass the post count for six months to be removed.

It's not bashing when you say that someone looks old or gained weight. It's a fact. Ellen is 47 and she looks like 47. When you watch older seasons of course she looked younger because she was younger. So what? It's the natural way of life. People change and get older. Why is it forbidden to discuss that? I don't get it.

This isn't a solution, not if you want the board to remain here.

I should feel comfortable posting here; we all should. That's why it takes a collective group effort to improve the posting culture and environment. If it doesn't improve, the problems will persist.

The remarks about cast members' appearances are a grey area. It's not that somebody can't talk about that, but everybody should be conscious of how they talk about it and the words they use, because it makes some posters uncomfortable. I don't think it's asking too much for people to think before they post and to be respectful of others in this way.

And if it makes me a preacher to say all of this, then hallelujah.

Um, saying someone is older or old is fine thats not the the issue and you know it. Its when you imply that Meredith is undesirable because Ellen is old that I have issues with! Come on. This is common sense people.

And I'm sorry but 47 is not old. So saying she looks old IS an insult! Its meant to be an insult. Stop playing stupid you aren't fooling anyone by trying to get around these insults.
