APPRECIATION THREAD

She is the daughter of Thatcher Grey, the younger sister of half-sister Meredith Grey and a first year intern at Seattle Grace hospital.
He is a very successful and competent surgeon who has a long history of womanizing and one-night stands, and is somewhat indiscriminate about his partners.
He portrays himself as a confident and often arrogant man, but behind this rugged and confident exterior,
He’s self destructive and self loathing to an almost pathological degree.
She is one of only two others who sees right through him and isn't afraid of him.
He, through increased interactions begins to fall for her.
Knowing it was wrong after being warned by his best friend Derek on behalf of his girlfriend/ Lexie’s sister to stay away from Lexie.
However, their platonic relationship soon turns romantic after he gives in to Lexie’s seduction.

There are a lot of reasons that draw me to Mark and Lexie.Chemistry is obvious, but it goes deeper than that.
There's some raw emotion that they share with one another that they haven't expressed with anybody else.
When Mark looks at Lexie, it's like she's the only one in the room and nothing else matters.
The way she respects himand looks at who he is as a person instead of his bad boy reputation.
They bring out something different in each other, something they both thought wasn't possible.
That is what makes me love Little Big Love

{My fav Mark and Lexie scene would be the day that she was talking
with the guy that cheated on his wife and Mark came by
and listened to her convo with him.
They shared a moment in that episode that to me marked them for each other. The look in their eyes told so much.}

They ... sleep with the wrong person and ... they hide it but,
if you ask me, it's the part that comes after that matters.
The part where you make it right.

My favorite scene is the 5.03 bar scene.
I thought it was so wonderful that he was embracing her personality.
He had actually listened to her when she said she had a photographic memory
despite the fact that in an earlier scene he said "use fewer words Grey."
Plus his smile and mouthing of the elements with her
as she recited the periodic table was adorable.

Mark: Why are you talking about sex with me? It's inappropriate. I'm your teacher. I have things to teach.
Double board-certified things.
Lexie: That's what I was talking about.
For you to teach me ... medicine. The sex, that was... a joke.

Lexie: You made her speak. Mrs. Patterson, she said hi. She spoke. You made her speak.

Lexie walks past Mark and into his hotel room.
Lexie: I respect you. As a man. As a surgeon as a teacher. I respect you. So... teach me.
Lexie takes off her shoes.
Mark: What are you doing? Don't do that. Stop.
Lexie: Teach me!
Mark: Stop!
Lexie: Teach me.
Mark: We can't do this, you're Little Grey, and I promised, and... I'm your teacher.

Lexie takes off her sweater
Mark: Oh, Lexie...
Lexie: Teach me. Teach me. Come on, am I really so bad?

Because she nailed it and he thought it was impressive.

They come on screen and you can't help but watch.
They have captivated our attention with their smart-ass remarks and fun flirty banter.
Not to mention they are easy on the eyes and on fire when together. What more could we ask for.
