I cannot believe that 2 seasons after we still talk about this couple. Personally I believe it was the best couple ever, and it will stay in the Grey's history no matter how many episodes,seasons, couples we pass. They were Romeo and Juliet of Grey's. Such a romantic story. Like you can't help it but cry every time you see Denny on the bed, or when "for a moment they touch"

My sentiments, exactly! Denny/Izzie is my favorite ship in the show. I love many many ships but it's still my favorite. I'm still mad at the writers for killing him off. He would have been a great series regular if they allowed him to marry Izzie. Sometimes, the show feels claustrophobic so having an outside character like Denny would have helped get over that. Too bad.

I think they were cute.

I think that if they hadn't killed Denny maybe I'd've shipped them.

I can't stop shipping them, even if Denny is died... I was very touched when they shared a scene in the other world... ok it was a little unrealistic, but I think we needed a sort of goodbye and I want to believe that Izzie will never forget him

That's what I want to believe too. I'm sure she won't, but I would like her to mention him one of these days. She probably doesn't because it hurts too much, but still I would like to see her saying something about him,
I was wondering...has a year passed since Denny's death??

I know, I would like her to say she misses him at times, but not one word. Cristina made a joke a few months back about cutting wires and Izzie did not even react.

I think Izzie doesn't mention him because it's too personal. Not just that, it'd also bring back memories for everyone that they'd probably want to forget.

They killed him off because his character was created for a specific storyline. He was gonna die from the start. They just never anticipated that his character would be so beloved. According to Shonda, couldn't change the story just to keep him so they had to kill hm off. I think it's bull. They've changed storylines before and not even for the better. I still think they could have kept him in the show and made it work.

Yeah, I think they could have made that. They would've been bigger than any other couple in this show.

I agree that is why they don't bring him up. But I think at some point they will... I mean if Ava turns out to be the next Denny than I'm sure Izzie can be there for Alex & know exactly what he's going through.

& yeah it was bull that they couldn't change his storyline. I mean he could have been such a great aspect to the show & to Izzie's character, I mean his death definitly brought us dynamic but I think they could have had him stick around a little while longer.

I also think that's the direction they're heading. I just don't like the recycled storylines, though. It used to be fun and witty the way they used the parallels. Now it's just getting old. The need somthing new IMO.

I definitely agree. Like I said before, the show tends to be a little claustrophobic sometimes. It's all the sleeping around with each other and the way they all never seem to have friends outside the hospital staff or the patients. If Denny stayed and married Izzie, he could have saved her character from the "musical partners" they have going on. I doubt he'd be sleeping with all the other girls.
