somehow i missed the entire season 4 so now that i'm trying to catch up with Season 5 i'm guessing mostly at what happened since the end of Season 3.
i kinda don't want to commit to watching Season 4 on DVD i just wanna go from here, *is lazy* i wonder, could some people answer some of my main questions??

1. last i knew Christina and Burke had tried getting married and then she said no on their wedding day. what happened then and why is Burke not on the show anymore?

2. George turned player somehow and was off again on again (literally) with the sexy bone Dr. and the ever luscious Izzy Stevens. now George seems almost on the back burner and Izzy is back with Alex (seeing visions of Denny as well) and the bone Dr. is gay?!?!? when did she discover/decide this?!?!

3. Mark Sloane is still up to his old tricks but now Allison is gone. where/why/when and how?

4. Meredith and Derrick of coures have ever been at odds in their relationship, now it seems they're a solid couple but last i had seen she told him she didn't want a serious committment. also, has her mother died? also she was dating the Vet guy and now he's nowhere to be seen, what happened there?

5. the Cheif was gonna retire, but now has HIS wife died, too, or what?? because it seems he's just as in there as ever.

6. Meredith's half sister Lexi came on the team and so far doesn't seem to be really a "character" to be concerned with from what i see, so what's the angle with having her on the show?? did, while on a break, Derrick and she get together? it would seem now that she can't keep from being with Mark, though. (but who could resist, i mean, really!)

7. and the big medical/moral issue at the end of Season 3. the pregnant chick that fell in love with Alex because he saved her life after the ferry accident.... what happened there?

First of all, welcome to the board, milmol!

You have quite a lot of questions so I'll strt answering them as best as I can.

Cristina had cold feet just as she ws about to walk down the aisle at ther wedding, Mer talked her ino going through with this but Burke realized what was happening an walked away. He left her at practically at the altar and never came back.

~ George married Callie, had an affair with Izzie, divorced Callie, then broke up with Izzie. He left Mer's house and moved to a crappy apartment with Lexie, who was in love with him. He never notices until it's too late. By then, Lexie had moved on to the plastic surgeon. Now we barely get two minutes of screentime for George and it makes me sad.

~ Izzie was alone for a while after breaking up with George. She then hooked up with Alex but started having visions of Denny. We just found out Denny wasn't a vision or a ghost. He was there to take her to heaven(?) because she is sick and may be dying.

~ Callie realized she was gay when Dr. Hahn joined the staff as the head of Cardio-Thoracic surgery. They started out as best friends until they both realized they loved each other more that friends should. Hahn then found out what Izzie did when she stole the heart for Denny. Callie took the Chief's/Izzie's side so they had a big fight and Erica left SGH for good.

You mean Addison, right? Well, Mark was sigle for a while. He started some kind of monogamous sexual relationship with Callie and seemed to like it but Callie started going with Erica so Sloan stepped back. He's now enjoying a sexual relationship with Lexie Grey.

OMG, you're so behind on this. There's too much to say about MerDer. I think it deserves a whole entire post.

Here's the short version:

Ellis Grey died and good riddance!

Mer dated the vet but the vet realized Mer was still in love with Derek so he disappeared. Mer & & Der got back together but it seems Mer still had intimacy issues so they broke up again. They were broken up for a while. Derek even started dating another woman. Mer soon realized she loved him so they got back together. Now they're together but things are not as smooth sailing as we'd like.

The Chief hs not retired. He was toying with the idea. He actually offered Derek the job but Derek declined it. He thinks the Chief is still the best person for the job.

Lexie had a crush of George for a while. She even started stealing stuff from the hospital and looking through confidential files for him. She was so hurt because George didn't seem to realize she had feelings for him. She finally got tired of that so she's with Mark now.

Rebecca got crazy. Alex tried to take care of her for a while be Izzie made him realize he can't do it. IDK what happened to her. Maybe she got sent to another hospital.

Actually, Isaiah Washington did an interview in TV Guide a while ago, and he said that he would come back on the show. I don't know if they would really do that though. Heh, who knows anymore with the stupid decisions that have been made recently. I really don't think it would be a good idea to bring the character back with another actor though. I think it would ruin it.

It's unfortunate because despite the obvious reason for his departure, Burke was such a strong character/presence on the show. And it's been missed.

Yeah. That interview that Isaiah made was just wishful thinking on his part. First, he basically said Grey's is going down the drain and then he said he'd come back if they asked. I don't think Shonda & co want him back. Of course, that's just MHO. We never know, really.

Nope. He's not getting written out, at least, not yet. There's no official word about it but that doesn't mean he's definitely staying. Remember Isaiah? They had him stay on until the end of the season and then pulled the plug so time only knows with George. Let's all hope that doesn't happen to him. *fingers crossed*
