Finally found a forum where people share my sentiments exactly to a T! A lot of other people say Grey's might be even better without Derek, which is a complete load to me.

 I didn't see any of that - but the opposite. But those are the ones who never shipped MerDer in the first place. When the show is still on the air, mostly is because of them and their chemistry. Meredith and Derek are NOT even together on the disc of s11, but they put up Amelia with them. WTF?? Don't know how you're a Grey's fan and never shipped MerDer. They're the only ship who was constant. They were Shonda's original vision; the others were just randomly thrown together, and their writing was consistently good until the end, but we all know that was affected because of BTS issues. Who knows what SR's original plan was.

They were the planned couple, the true originals. Not because they happened, or just the two of them single so she put them together, like most of the couples that happened on the show. They were IT.
I don't know why they decided to cut these scenes, you can see Mer's feelings, on how hurt, angry she is, plus those who were confused on if Derek told her or not about it. A one beautiful speech wasn't going to make everything okay. So it's even more a WTF after ep17 to ep18.. where she said she's so blessed. Yeah, episode 17 was the original plan, then I feel like they refilmed the last scene of 17 when they decided he was going to die... there was going to be more of a back and forth between them until they decided to write PD out. I feel like the original plan of ep19 had to do with them too, considering the title/case. It seemed random because they decided to make MerDer 'fine' too quickly.

It was a huge WTF after ep17 nothing made sense.
Good to know from the other deleted scene how much Mer missed him, he talked to the kids everyday & they tried to call each other. |

This is one of my favorite shows, well parts of it are. She ruined what could have been one of the most amazing show considered by a LOT of people, and she ruined that in 2 episodes. Good job, Shonda!

It all goes down to Shonda failing to conceptualize her vision. She had a vision in mind but wasn't thinking about the endpoint or how it would come together. She was too greedy and sacrificed the endpoint for the dollar sign. Now there is really no vision left and it is apparent this show is just aiming for shocks at this point to stall its inevitable end. The show is bleeding, no doubt, and Shonda can't plug up the flow with a tampon or a pad.
 Okay, pretty gross analogy but still... __________________
