That may well be possible that Izzie letters sent to Alex and Meredith has previously intercepted. That would be a hammer. Drama pur if Alex would know about it. That's eh crass that Izzie of nothing was not heard and was not even at the funeral of Derek. Is Izzie dead?

Well her exhusband was shot like 1/2 months after they divorced. I think a call is called for, but it may have happened offscreen.

Why does Alex even have her frozen embryos? It's not like he can use them.

If anything, it would have made sense for Alex to give her his sperm.

He can use them with a surrogate. He just didn't give his sperm because fertilized eggs had more chance to survive or sth like that.
