DOC Memorial Thread: Because he was a good dog!

I dont know about you, but this was the first scene last night that made me bawl my eyes out! Having to put an animal to sleep is the saddest thing ever. And it brought me back to the time I had to put my kitty down.

RIP Doc!

And when Doc "died", his eyes were dark and still, just like my Parker's, and I lost it even more!

I'm overly emotional when it comes to animal deaths, and when they put Doc down, I bawled.

Same here. I had to put my cat to sleep 4 years ago, and it still hurts. I actually had to turn away from that scene, which was odd.

That was probably the only scene that made me emotional. I put down the dog I grew up with (from age 2-16..she was the same age as me as well) when I was 16.. and I still get emotional about it. When my family reminisces about her I can only take so much before I start bawling. Putting down a pet/companion is so sad and so difficult.

Was Doc really a good dog? Didnt he pee over everything?
It was really sad though, poor fella.

I think he was really more of a good plot device.

In my case, I didn't have my cat for long, like you and your dog. But he was with me during a very rough period in my life. And he was the only constant during that time. I'm tearing up just thinking about him.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who had to cry so hard! Every scene in which an animal (expecially dogs) dies makes me sad, but that one was even worse! Like dibsonthat I had to put the two dogs down I grew up with.

I could barely deal with it as an adult. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have a childhood pet die. I was traumatized by our goldfish dying.

Only George and Izzie's stuff, which, considering everything... shows pretty good taste.

Sorry, just still a bit bitter about how they turned on Meredith after the whole "sleeping with George" debacle.

Actually, he ended up eating (or doing something) to Mer's laundry. He eventually turned on her too. That's what led to the scene of the 3 of them eating pizza in the bathroom.
