|  he completely does. And its sad, cause season 1, i loved them SO much, but she has changed....he needs someone he can be happy with. And he knows it. And there is a definite spark with Rose. But I didn't want to like this couple b/c I knew they were going to be broken up. But I ended up liking Derek/Rose anyways. I actually like Meredith now. I didn't before. | I'm really interested in learning more about Rose. It's too bad to know that some people will never give her a chance due to her being introduced as a romance for Derek, but I found her few minutes of screen time this week very intriguing. I think I'm going to like her a whole lot. Derek needs somebody who can call him on his crap like Rose did during the surgery. | |||

| ^^I agree. Don't add me to the list just yet, but you may be soon. I mean, I adore Meredith and my main reason for wanting Derek with someone else, is so that she can be with someone else too (I am not interested in Derek moving on, while Meredith pines about it), but I honestly enjoy both characters SO much more when they aren't interacting with one another. They had their moment in the sun, it was season one. They both need to move on now, for both of their sake's. And it is unfortunate how many people hate characters like Rose right from the start just because of the way she comes into the show. Since I tend to enjoy Derek more when he's not with Meredith, perhaps a relationship with Rose will finally pull him up from his long-held position of my least favorite character on the show... It is also unfortunate that this relationship is probably doomed from the start, like Derek/Addison, Meredith/Finn, etc. But who knows, maybe fans and writers will have a change of heart. We'll see.
