Okay I am a huge Derek/Cristina shipper but I thought I would start a general appreciation thread. I really love how the two of them play of each other

I enjoy their scenes. I'm not sure if I ship them yet though. We'll see.

I loved in the finale that Derek was Burke's best man. And Mark mentioned how he was best man. And then Derek said, "Well, I'll be sleeping with Cristina 10 years down the road." Or something along those lines. It made me think "Hmmm." He also sounded wistful when he was telling Burke that Cristina was great.

You can definitely add me to a friendship list, if you make one-- though I don't really see them as friends so much. Their scenes are usually pretty tense, which I like. Cristina isn't mystifed by the McDreamy-ness of Derek (neither am I) so she sees him for what he really is. I love how she called him out on lying to Meredith way back in the beginning of season two, for example.

In any case, I thoroughly enjoy their scenes together and so I'd have to be on the list, though I don't ship them romantically just for Meredith's sake (though I do think they'd be a more interesting pair than MerDer... but then, I honestly think Mer and Der each would be more interesting with anyone but each other, so...).

I enjoyed them the "ed" being the operative word. I guess I ship cristina/derek mostly cause I love banter. I love how derek seems to not be boring or stale in scenes with her....

I do think there actually hooking up would have to happen in a way where mer was cool with it...cause I don't want to see anything affect that friendship...

Right... so it would mean the writers would need to end MerDer, have them separate and move on for good. And then get to that place where they totally don't care who the other is with, etc. Which, unfortunately, I don't see happening...ever. But I wish it would for reasons other than Der/Cristina...Derina? , but if Mer was cool with it, I would be too.

I agree! Cristina sees the real him and I like it that she isn't afraid to speak up to him.

IDK if I want them together as friends or a couple. I just don't think they go together all that well. I do want them to have more scenes together because it's always ingteresting when they're together.
