You can legitimately see how happy they make each other because when the other is around, they light up.

I find them believable as a lesbian couple, which is rare.

They may have their problems, but I see them being together for a long time, and maybe even, they’ll get their happily ever after too.

I remember when I used to watch Grey’s anatomy and not ship anybody.
I appreciated all the characters and the storylines. There were some I disagreed with and some I absolutely loved.
So what made me ship to Callie and Arizona? It’s very simple.
Their relationship is dynamic, patient, and enlightening. It is a breath of fresh air and a chance of self realization.
It is a different approach when looking at a relationship.
It does not focus on sex or betrayal but it shifts the attention to something more meaningful and tactile instead.
This is what makes me adore them... This is my reverence towards them.

I’d lost my way with Greys after Season 4. I’m from the UK so sometimes it is hard to keep up with episodes.
However Callie was always my favourite character and I wished for her to find someone who would love her for who she is – badass clingy rock star and all.
I liked the idea of Callie exploring her sexuality and the Callica partnership did interest me but it didn’t (as Shonda so eloquently put it “make Callie sparkle”). Then in pops Arizona!
I had read there was a new PEDS surgeon on Greys so I visited YouTube to see what all the fuss was about.
That is when I saw their first scene. The infamous “dirty bathroom kiss.”
I loved how AZ was genuinely interested in Callie; she had seen her around the hospital and wanted to know more…it was love at first sight! Arizona was adorable, cute and unbelievably perky.
These ladies were complete opposites…
Arizona was the mayo to Callie’s ketchup, the Bonnie to Callie’s Clyde and the chalk to Callie’s cheese, the…well you get the picture.
These ladies brought me back onboard the Greys Anatomy train. They oozed chemistry.
Finally we had someone who could handle Callie’s emotional outbursts, someone who knew that underneath the fiery temper
was a vulnerable and at times scared woman who just wanted to be needed, wanted to be protected.
Arizona gets Callie; she understands her and is patient enough to help her learn how to just be.
Be herself, be the talented rock star that she is and more importantly be happy.
Their journey so far has been an incredible one and I can’t wait for it to continue because they are soul mates…these ladies are END GAME.

In the last days I’ve been trying to figure out when exactly I started to like Callie and Arizona.
I came up with the result that I can’t tell.
When there was this moment I recognized that I’m waiting for Grey’s to see those two, it had already happened…
and I hadn’t realized. I can’t help but smile about that fact because it’s exactly what falling in love means to me:
You’re into it way before you realize it.
What is new is that I’ve fallen in love with a couple this time which is really different from how I came to ship my other couples before.
