Apparently ABC had only ordered 22 episodes? I thought they said 24 from the beginning. When I first read the headline I thought we were gonna get 26 episodes this season.

I don't think this is something that's ever been published? Not too sure about this.

Anyhow, it doesn't matter as obviously 24 epis are being ordered pretty early in the season.

A standard television season is 22 epis long. We've been sooooo spoiled with Greys because we've usually been given more than that. Glad this year is no exception.

Pretty much every other show has 22 or less episodes. We are spoiled.

I remember I read Grey's was ordered with 24 epis, even I think SR answered to some Scandal fans that due to Scandal format it couldnt have 24 but only 22 while Grey's was different and they could do the 24... Maybe we were all wrong or assumed that way because Grey's always have more epis than others shows (except S7 and that's because the musical took up too much time)...Anyway, the fact that they now said Grey's will have 24 is definitely good for the show as network is definitely happy with how the numbers are going
