Even though I'm pissed Callie got the Chief offer first, the important thing is, she turned it down. At the end of the episode, he offered it to Derek.

So that leaves room for her to leave, for whatever reason *cough*GeorgeandIzzie*cough*.

I'm so not looking forward to the 4 month hiatus but really, I'm more optimistic than ever before.

Callie may have had everything handed to her on a silver platter in this episode but she's so going to crash and burn.

I asked this in the last thread but does anyone know how long it's been in Grey's time since Callie slept with Mark? Like I said, my mom came up with the idea that she's already pregnant and tricked George into having a baby, as to make it not look suspicous... Then again, that wouldn't work because she would have to be a couple months pregnant already and that would give it away come birth time.

Damn, I don't know. It's fun speculating though

Callie was offered and accepted the Chief Resident position. Derek was offered Chief of Surgery and turned it down. He basically told the chief to stay.

no burke tho...i guess he (isaiah W) deserved to leave for the things he did, but i dunno..he was the only person i ever saw that i liked with cristina..it will be weird without him.
and cristina's scene was heartbreaking-how she knew he was gone by all the stuff of his that was missing-trivial things you wouldnt think cristina would notice, but she did-and her breakdown was absolutely breathtaking...it had my crying withing seconds.....*sighs*

i believe george feels guilty for allowing himself to cheat on his wife...but he also is coming to terms that his marriage is a mistake..and i know he doesnt regret sleeping with izzie..he loves her. i

i think the only reason he agreed was because he believed that izzie didnt have feelings for him.

im rooting for a really good speech from george next season to sweep izzie off her feet- cuz god knows callie didnt deserve the proposal from george and meredith didn't deserve his speech to her either.

I'm not really upset about the George/Izzie scenes. I felt the one we got was really good but it would have been nice if there was more.
What I am mad about is George deciding to have a baby, not a very mature decision at all.
I'm also very sad that he quit, not that he'll stay that way. I imagine another really great speech from Izzie next season to get him to stay.
Callie telling Izzie her and George were trying to have a baby was a little out there but not surprising with her character. It did not make me mad as much as it just made Callie seem very pathetic.
What does piss me off the most about this episode is Callie getting Chief and this has nothing to do with the O'stevens love I have but the Baily love I have.
Baily should be the chief resident and it blows me away that she isn't.

I've thought about it and though I'm still disappointed I'm okay now.

My question is whether or not George is going to tell Callie about him failing or if she's going to find out because she's the new chief resident?

What about Bailey? Did she lose her postion because of her baby or the Denny situation or does the chief have another reason to demote her and promote Callie who seems to be more about bones than anything else? At least Bailey is well-rounded in the surgeries she performs or is apart of.

I was really confused about the Mer/McDreamy situation. I didn't get any of it. Didn't he push her away because of his quest to be chief and now it's her fault?

I have no comment on Christina's last scene because it was really depressing.

The only decent moments were the Gizzie scene as well as Burke's vows (when he said them in the operating room I knew the wedding wasn't going to take place).

Hopefully we get some Gizzie early next season.
