I was thinking the same thing. That's a weird poll. I don't wish anyone to die, even not the characters that I like the less.

Hi everyone I'm new! I joined this forum for the Gizzie thread... I need to find kindred spirits! I'm a somewhat new Greys fan and I loved Gizzie from the beginning, then I watched it all only to see them finally get together and then break apart! I've read some parts of this thread and I can't believe how this whole situation was handled by the producers... believing the people that said that everyone hates Gizzie, ending it almost before it had properly started for the stupidest reason ever (no chemistry, yeah RIGHT!)... it's very sad! I'm so happy you guys are still believing in Gizzie though, I'll stick with you I think.

There's hope for them until the end of the show, and we'll have mvids and fanfics to fill the void...

Izzie: Holy Mary, mother of God. Pray for us sinners now and in the...

Alex: (Whistles) Iz, you look nice.

Meredith: Did you just come from.. confession?

Izzie: Holy Mary...

Meredith: In a church?

Izzie: Shut up.

Alex: Izzie Stevens does penance. You did something bad.

Callie: I smell like poo. Do you think I can make it through today without falling asleep?

George: Do you want to make a coffee date? 3 pm, you could use a little pick me up.

Callie: Yeah. Sounds nice, really nice.

George: Good.

Callie: Ok.

Izzie: I'm telling you, this confession thing. It really works. It's like we have a do-over. Our sin is gone.

Izzie: So you don't have to keep avoiding me.

George: Yeah, I do. Until this thing blows over, I do. (Loudly) Javier Rugero! Javier...uh...Rugero.

Izzie: Blows over? What does that even mean?

George: When Meredith and I, uh...eventually, you know, blew over, passed.

Izzie: You mean the sad sex? The sad, tragic, depression inducing sex you had with Meredith is the same as what we...

George: I can't. Back off.... just for now, back off. (Loudly) Javier Rugero!

Bailey: Ok, discharge beds 1 and 3. 2 needs a social worker and hold this down for me O'Malley. I'm gonna be out for awhile.

George: Why? What's going on with Izzie?

Bailey: What's going on with Stevens is none of your concern. What is your concern, sick people, all these sick people, until I get back, understand?

George: Anybody...move. Anybody know what's going on with Izzie? Something's going on.

Meredith: Why don't you just ask her yourself?

George: Fine. I would if I knew where she was.

George: What's up with Izzie?

Bailey: I told you it's none of your concern.

George: No, it is my concern. I demand to know.

Bailey: I hope I didn't just hear you say you demand. Are you her father? Are you her husband? Then stay here and keep your mind on your job, you hear me?

George: Meredith, tell me where she is.

Meredith: I can't. If she wanted you to know, George...

George: She does. She just...we're just having one of our stupid fights. Do you know how wrong it is if she's really in trouble and I'm not there because we're being idiots. Come on. Meredith, please.

Meredith: She's upstairs in procedure room a. That's all I know.

George: Thank you.

George: You didn't tell me you were having a bone drilled in your damn hip. For who?

Doctor: Ok, I'm going in when you're ready.

George: Yeah.

Meredith: Hey, Callie.

Callie: Hi.

Meredith: Hi. So, if you could just take these two then that'll free me up to do...

Callie: Oh, no, no, no. No, I'm not here to work. I'm um, I'm um, I'm um, I'm sorry. I haven't slept in like two days and I'm actually looking for George. We're supposed to meet up for coffee.

Meredith: Oh.

Callie: So, yeah.

Meredith: Ok. He's uh with Izzie. I think, so...if you're not here to work I'm just gonna take these back. Thanks.

Izzie: I'm aware. I'm fine now. Thank you.

George: Uh, you mean, pantless but fine?

Izzie: Crap.

George: Stand.

Izzie: My mother wanted me to keep her but I knew even at 16, I knew that baby deserved better then life at a Chalis trailer park. And now she's here and she might be dying and she doesn't wanna meet me. Oh, crap.

Izzie: I didn't think I really cared until she said no. How bout that?

I can say hail Mary's until...until I turn into Mary but I still miss you. Not that the sex...it was not tragic but George...but I'll live without it.

Izzie: I won't make it if you can't be my friend. If we can't...

George: What you did today...you should be proud. I'll get an orderly to take you downstairs but I have to go. You understand?

Oh, that means she probably talks a lot and eats a lot then.

George: If she's in pain she's not letting on. Man she's tough.

Izzie: That's her George, that's Hannah.

George: Yeah.

Izzie: She's beautiful, don't you think? She's really beautiful.

George: Yeah, she's a heartbreaker.

George: Oh, crap. Our coffee. I'm sorry, I forgot. I got so busy.

Callie: Oh yeah with what?

George: The clinic, patients. I mean...you know how it is. Oh man.

Callie: Yeah, I know how it is. I'm tired...I'm really, really tired so I'll see you at home.

Best episode ever. I'd hoped since we learned about Hannah that she'd share the secret with George, and she did.. and then he looked at Hannah because she couldn't, and described her (and what she shared with Izzie) while making Izzie smile at the joke, and 'she's a heartbreaker' - and you know he was talking about Izzie too. And not to mention George going crazy trying to find out what was wrong all day.

That they have this great bond and this great friendship that she would go ahead and reveal this to him was really amazing to me. (Absolutely) It was a really great way to show how strong their relationship actually is despite everything that's happened.

And then the one thing.. that he doesn't even listen when she says 'I want to be alone, I want to do this by myself.' (he wont let her) he transcends all that garbage and goes in and in esscence lies to his wife again because he's doing the right thing for Izzie. And he can't tell anyone, because Izzie doesn't want anybody to know about it, so.. he's being the most incredible family member of hers. (And he's denying his own family..cause Callie's his family.)

My favourite moment of the George and Izzie story is just the moment when George takes her upstairs to the daughter, and Izzie wont look, and Izzie wont look and George is describing her (oh it's so good) and he says, and I just love this line 'She has a big mouth, which means she probably talks a lot and eats a lot, you know.. like yours', and it's very charming like there's this lovely moment and you sort of go like 'He loves Izzie so much.' (And he loves everything about her, he loves the good and the bad. He knows her.)

The thing I’ve always loved about this story is that it’s not about Izzie or George. Their tension, their fling, their awkwardness – it all gets put on a back burner the moment something much more important falls into their lives. They have to set aside their weirdness, step outside of themselves and their screwed up lives, and – just hold each others hands.

It’s like that moment, just before the hematologist starts to drill into Izzie’s hip, when Izzie and George’s faces are just inches apart, and nothing else matters. It’s just George being there for Izzie when she needs him most – it’s clean, it’s simple, and it’s one of the most meaningful moments – for both of them. Well… that and the scene with the scrub pants…

SIDEBAR: Can we please talk about George and Izzie’s scrub pants??? Is it just me, or was that moment charged in a way that made me both a liiiiittle bit uncomfortable AND incapable of breathing for – well – the rest of the scene? I’m telling you – this whole George/ Izzie thing? I’m as conflicted as you are. I see a scene like that and I think to myself – Oh my goodness, they belong together. Right NOW. Make it happen!! Until I see Callie a few scenes later and… well, I get mad at myself for forgetting all about her. Because I love Callie, and I hate the idea that George might hurt her – REALLY hurt her… Callie’s blameless here. She loves a man who really really seems to be… falling for his best friend?!?!?

The sad thing is Shonda seems to believe them, but I intend on sticking around too, if we keep at it, she will have to hear us someday.

Time After Time is my favorite Grey's episode of all time.

There are just so many moments....

My favorite favorite scene is when George takes Izzie to see her daughter.
George's line "she's a heartbreaker" is probably my favorite George line ever.

I think at the time and maybe still now I dont really know people tended to say George doesnt love Izzie as much as Izzie loves George.

I think the difference is that Izzie is more emotional vocal person and George is not. But that line, and the way TR delivered it showed how much George truly loved Izzie. And to quote Shonda:

'She has a big mouth, which means she probably talks a lot and eats a lot, you know.. like yours', and it's very charming like there's this lovely moment and you sort of go like 'He loves Izzie so much.' (And he loves everything about her, he loves the good and the bad. He knows her.)

Also, could they have picked a a better song then "Clean Getaway" It gives me goosbumps every time I hear it. I know you guys know it already but I hope you dont mind if I post the lyrics.
