George: Izzie baked us treats!

3.08 Staring at the Sun

Izzie: George's dad was admitted last night.

Meredith: Oh my God, is he ok?

George: No, no. He's fine.

Izzie: He passed out, hit the floor and fractured his clavicle.

George: His clavicle is fine. Callie said... she said it's fine.

Meredith: Are those his AM labs?

Alex: Complaining of severe abdominal pain.

Cristina: He doesn't have peritoneal signs, that's good.

Bailey: Has anybody seen...

George: I was just looking at it.

Bailey: Don't you think me reading it is more important than you reading it?

George: Sure. Fine. He's going to be fine.

Bailey: You're on SCUT today. You'll be distracted.

George: No I wont...

Bailey: Family members do not treat family members. SCUT.

George: They're going to try to operate soon. This week I think. It's stage 3 metastatic cancer. And my brothers are... and uh... Callie slept with Sloan. I just can't... I can't deal with any of it. I spent the entire day worrying about Burke...like there's something…there's nothing wrong with Burke. God, my dad has cancer, and I can't even look him in the face. Cristina had to tell him what was wrong. Cristina...

Izzie: Nobody gets it right with their own family.

Meredith: I certainly don't.

George: Yeah.

Izzie: Callie slept with Sloan?

George: I don't get you people.

Meredith: Us with the boobs? We make a lot of bad decisions.

Thanks for adding me, guys. I SO want us to get more Gizzie scenes in the next five episodes, one episodes of no scenes or almost without them like episode 4.11 and I was dying, I could not take another one, we need some Gizzie for my heart's sake.

I love when she bakes him treats, they act like an old married couple and I love how worried Izzie is about him, it is so sweet, they are really always there for each other, no?

Thanks Kylie for the recap, we are getting close to the good stuff, it is close to those episodes I started thinking they were going to pair them up. I love how much Izzie was there for George, I love how she smile at him when he sings. The others are rolling their eyes at him, but she looks like she finds him so darn adorable, then she always does. I love that about them.

The scene where she is getting him ready for his camping trip is very wife like and it always made me think that this is something Georges mum would do for his dad before he took his boys out hunting

Thus far I don't think there's been two episodes in a row where we haven't had a decent George/Izzie scene. So I hope that continues..

And I agree guys - they did seem like a married couple in that scene.

I just love how they subtly take care of each other. George has Izzie's mom programmed into his phone. Izzie bakes George treats and zips up his jacket.
They pinky touch on the bathroom floor and brush thier teeth together. I could go on and on...

I wonder for the new episodes, if time is going to pass. Like are they going to pick up right where they left off, or is it going to come back and George will already be roomates with Lexie? What do you guys think?

I know I thought they looked like they were married for years in that, my mom always acts like that with my dad, takes care of him and fusses over him like that. In fact didn't one of the Grey blog writer say that Gizzie were already in a relationship when they slept together. I still scratch my head at people who said Izzie treated George like one of the girls, yep that is why she gave him that smile when he said he would do her, I make thta joke with all my girl friends and they smile, LOL.

Hey guys, I know I haven't been on this board in a long time now.....I kinda gave up on Gizzie for a while there. But as you can see from my icon I truly am a sucker for best friend relationships and will they-won't they scenarios so I still love Gizzie although episode 407 almost made me stop watching entirely. It seems that the most beautiful relationships don't last on tv but here's hoping I'm wrong this time!

I love that quote from the blog,. Sometimes I feat that too, that Gizzie have a much too beautiful love story to last on TV, especially on a show like Grey that seems to privilege sex-based couples. I tend to think Gizzie is too good for Grey
