Don't worry. We're all very nice people. I personally don't like Alex and Izzie together at all but I'm completely OK with people liking them (or being multi-shippers) as long as we are all respectful.

I'm glad you decided to join us. It's always a pleasure to welcome new Gizzie fans !

Ah.

I did find some of it funny, but in general - that wasn't my George/Izzie, and it was a stretch to believe they were having that many problems. I guess the thing that disappointed me the most when it came to episode 7 was that their problem was addressed in the podcast by Shonda, but that wasn't what we got in the episode. Like, the episode ended with Mere's voiceover going "Chemistry.. either you've got it, or you don't." which to any person just watching and not listening to Shonda's podcast afterwards.. would pretty much leave them thinking George and Izzie just didn't have any chemistry. Which is just ridiculous when taking into account their completely sober kiss last season.

Izzie: You could use a little bit more lip gloss, but, yes you’re very pretty.
George: Aw, you're mean.

Izzie: I'm just kidding, you look fine.
George: Seriously, how’s my breath?

Izzie: George, would you just talk to her?

George: I grew my hair out for her and --

George: I don't even think she noticed.
Izzie: You could just tell her how you feel.

George: You fed the beast again, didn't you?

Izzie: Twice.

See that George questions Izzie's taste in guys in this episode, and Izzie had done the same in an earlier Season 2 episode. Also I love that George said he grew his hair out, and Izzie had noticed - not Meredith.

i also envy people who can multi-ship. there is probably a way smaller chance of being disappointed with the end results of a show, but i fear i am far too loyal for such a thing *sigh* alas i am doomed to ship one pairing fo all eternity...

ITA. I love the way Izzie looks at George at the end of the episode. She completely sees how the whole Meredith situation hurts George. George has this crush on Meredith but Meredith doesn't see him (at least, not in that way). Whereas Izzie sees the way George feels and all the efforts he makes to get Meredith to notice him but, at that time, the idea of having feelings for each other had never crossed their mind.

I loved how Shonda said in the podcast for MFM that George & Izzie's night was the complete opposite of George & Meredith's experience. It's quite ironic b/c George wanted to be with Meredith but their experience ended up being a complete disaster.
But sleeping with Izzie was certainly not in George's plans (and not in Izzie's either) but it turned out that they had actually been in love for quite some time without having realized it.

Hmm, yes the difference between the podcast and the vo in episode 4.7 is quite telling. I saw two people having that discussion yesterday. Someone said that Gizzie had no chemistry and Mer's vo proved it, then someone else said that it did not because Shonda had clearly stated in the podcast it was not they were bad in bed together, it was the baggage they had that tripped them up. So the episode makes it seem like they have no chemistry but the podcast says they do and it is guilt keeping them from doing it right, which the fact they cannot kiss correctly then after kissing so hotly last season proves to me. Those things, that hot sexual chemistry in that kiss, do not go away like that unless there is something else like guilt and bad timing.

But if you had not heard the podcast, you would not know at all, which I think suck because now all the non-fans can sue that as an excuse.

But you know, even without the podcast, I don't know anyone to tell me George and Izzie have chemistry, I see it in every scene they share, and I personally think they have more romantic and sexual chemistry than anyone else.

I loved this episode with the pictures, because George was jealous of Alex, Izzie pretty much said she was using Alex just for sex and Izzie noticed George growing his hair out and being hurt and left Alex there for awhile to take care of George. I love how she put his needs first above hers. But then George does bring out that side to her.

Yeah. That difference confused me a lot. Before listening to the podcast, I was completely distraught over what had happened in the episode.
After listening to the podcast, I felt a little bit better but I was like "No chemistry is not the same thing as bad timing/guilt".

The episode and the podcast both led the audience to different conclusions and that was really weird.

You know what, this is not the first time that what we see on screen and what is said in the podcast or blog is different.

I do wonder if they did not write the episode when they thought the Gizzie fans were a small minority but then as we kept gaining more and more fans and being more vocal, she realized just how angry we would be, so she said that.

In a way it would be good because if she realizes how many Gizzie fans there is, we have hope this will be revisited, we just need to constantly make ourselves be heard.

I agree. We need to always remind them that we are not the minority and that we will always be here to support our ship.

Btw, I was looking again at the vote about the possible A/I reunion. I still hate the results but I love what you said, gabigirl. You defended Gizzie with so much passion ... You were great !

Well, thanks, LOL, our couple brings it out in me.

Yes I am not planning on staying silent, will write to whoever I want to but I will let them know we are there and not giving up.

I think that its important to stay positive.

George and Izzie...was done the way it was for a reason. I believe that Shonda always wanted them to get together but the way it was handled was defintely for shock value.

And the way everything went down, I knew that there breakup was inevitable it was too much baggage. But the door was left open and I believe that one day there relationship will come back stronger and better then ever.

We shouldnt give up, we've come to far for that. With George and Izzie it might be true that you love them or hate them, but I think if you love them you really LOVE THEM, and I think that's what makes us special. If your a Gizzie fan, your one for life.

Oh and, I updated my fic but I'm not quite sure if I should post it here because the way I ended up editing it, there wasnt any Gizzie in chapter 2. But I will say that the next chapter will be George and Izzie filled, so definately look out for that.
