I am from Quebec but my cousins live in France. I tuned them into Grey and now they are big fans, my little cousin has totally fallen in love with George and Izzie like me, and we spend whole emails gushing about how great a couple they are. She doesn,t speak English though so she has to listen to those god-awful dubbed versions. I plan to teach her so she can watch the show in its original version.

Hmm, I adored Denny and Izzie so I was angry when they did george and Izzie at first but kept my mind open. Then I saw that linen closet scene and I fell head over heels in love with those two.

Denny and Izzie were great and I will always love them, but I find George and Izzie to be the most beautiful, loving, tender and magical couple I have ever seen and I have been watching TV since I was 9 so 20 years.

My friends were glad as they were all rooting for George and Izzie since day 1.

But I liked Denny and Izzie too, they were much better than Alex and Izzie, that i could not stomach at all, LOL.

I freaking loved Denny, I loved that whole ark Izzie cutting the LVAD the emotional scenes it was amazing and devestating all that the same time.

And then he died, and that was horrible but looking back in retrospect that's the way it had to be. George and Izzie as we have been told "are not the fairy tale of the century" but they dont have to be. There real, there honest and they love each other and thats all that matters to me.

Seriously, you always express perfectly what I am feeling about Gizzie and you describe them perfectly. You should send this to the Grey mag or to Shonda and ABC.

Yes, I will always love Denny for that. After his death, Izzie realized that life was short and she grabbed on to what was most important in her life and that was George, he always was but she had not seen it until that night. And then her eyes were opened and she tried to resist but once the truth is oput, there is not much you can do about it.

Yes, they are not the love story of the century but they are better. They are real, imperfect and totally in love, which to me makes them perfect.

I'm so glad to able to watch the original version of the show. The dubbing really disturbs me most of the time.

I already knew that there was a time when you didn't like the idea of Gizzie at all. But it's funny to imagine that now. You're one of the most devoted and most passionate Gizzie fans I know. You always defend them so well.

yep I hated the idea of them ruining the friendship so much, I boycotted the next episode, but then everyone, and all my friends, kept raving about how amazing the linen closet scene was, so I went to see it. And that was it, I fell in love. I had never seen such intensity, such love between two characters on TV ever, and I never looked back. Sometimes I think shipping them is so hard, maybe I would have been better not getting attached, but then I think not, they are so amazing and I am glad to be able to root for such an amazing couple, they are worth it all.

2.24 Damage Case

Izzie: All I'm saying George, is that if she needs to pee she can at least wear a bra. Or maybe wait until she's alone. And for the love of everything sanitary, could she just wash her hands? She's a surgeon!

George: You said yourself you guys were blocking the sink. Anyways, I think you're exaggerating.

Izzie: She peed! Naked peeing! Ask Meredith, Meredith? Oh that's right, I forgot, you're not talking to her. If you were, she would tell you that Callie crosses the line. So crossed the line. So freaking crossed.

George: Izzie. (walks over and whispers in her ear) Callie’s looking for you. You blew off her surgery?
Izzie: No, I-I had a patient, Denny, I had to go.

George: Are you hanging out with Denny?
Izzie: Oh, please. Do not even talk to me about standards. The girl can’t even wash her hands.

And also there was:

Izzie: Yeah and I bet he even washes his hands after he pees.
George: That's uncalled for.
Bailey: Hey, this a place of business.

Slightly OT, but I really didn't get Callie in this episode when she was saying that Izzie and Meredith were looking at her like a rodent. I mean, she walked into the bathroom uninvited and naked - in a home that isn't hers - and peed in front of them. If you do things like that, expect people to look at you like you're weird.

2.25 17 Seconds (Part One)

Izzie: George!

Izzie: Callie. Hey.

(Just after Callie tells George she loves him)

Izzie: George, I need you.

George: You need help with an EKG?
Izzie: No! Come! (to Denny) Okay, after I do this I might have to shock you a few times.
George: Do what?

(Izzie ignores him and talks to Denny)

George (interrupting): Do what, Izzie?
Izzie: I feel like we should say stuff. Denny, do you want to say stuff?
Denny: Kiss me. Right here. (they kiss) Izzie, a kiss is worth a thousand words.
Izzie: A picture. A picture is worth a thousand words.
Denny: You’re going to correct me at a time like this.
George: I don't mean to be intrusive but--
Izzie: Just gimme a second, George! (turning back to Denny) Okay. You ready?
Denny: As I'll ever be. (Izzie picks up a pair of scissors)
George: Wait, what are you doing?
Izzie: Denny, if there really is some kind of big glowy light--
Denny: I'm gonna try like hell to stay outta it.
Izzie: Exactly.
George: I don't like the sound of this.
Izzie: Just make sure nobody comes through that door.

George (realising): What are you doing?

Izzie: I'm stopping his heart, George.

Thanks for posting those episode recaps! I love in ep. 24 how Izzie makes that rubbing motion with her hands in reference to Callie not washing them, and George shoves the door shut in her face.

And I also love how Izzie went and got George as the one to help her with the whole Denny situation. It shows how close they are and how much Izzie trusts him.
