Oh yay, a new one, I was wondering if you would continue it and hoping you would, off to read it.

Yep, watching Gizzie videos on Youtube sure makes me feel better, some great ones there.

ETA: I just read it, amazing! I love Izzie, Go George, go us, that is something I could so picture her saying. i love Louise describing George as a little boy, exactly how I would imagine him, and how she called him her angel, awww!

That was amazing Lex, you captured george so well, his good qualities and his bad and his tendency to lash out and run away when he gets hurt or scared. I do wish we could see some flashbacks with little George, his mom's little angel, bet he was cute. I think you get George better than pretty much anyone, which means a lot to me as he is my favorite character.

And the little yay for us is Izzie, she is always rooting for George. Remember how she was happy for him in episode 1 when nobody was, LOL, and then in the elevator when he did the open heart surgery, she was so happy for him and proud. I love that about their relationship.

No Man's Land - Izzie and George are arguing about tampons and such, but when all those posters are put up of her in her underwear, he tries to stop her going in there and seeing them, and then offers to take them down.

From a Whisper to a Scream - George makes a horrible comment towards Izzie, but at the end of the day, she sat with him anyway although she wasn't ready to hear an apology.

Time After Time - George was trying to avoid Izzie, but when George realised something was up, he searched for and wouldn't leave her because he knew he had to be there... that she needed him.

(after banging on the window) George: Cujo has to go!
Izzie: He peed on my bed. My bed, Meredith!
Meredith: He's our dog!

George: No, he’s not my dog. You two bought him, without even asking me.
Meredith: We rescued him from certain death. (she pouts) Come on you guys.
George: I'm putting my foot down. Either the dog moves out or I do. Foot. Down. Now. It's me or the dog. Which is it?

George: She hesitated!

Izzie: You hesitated?!

Meredith: I didn't hesitate! I was thinking.
George: You have to think about it, fine! I’m moving out right now. (Bailey walks in) Later. I’m moving out later because right now I have rounds.

^ This was after George shoved some files in Izzie's arms.

Izzie: You're not moving out George.

George: Oh yes I am. I gave an ultimatum. Threw down the gauntlet. I drew my line in the sand.

Izzie: Well, un-give, un-throw, un-draw.

Meredith: You’re advertising for a home for Doc? I said I would do it.

Izzie: And you haven't and you won't. And I don't want George to leave.

Izzie: We'll just... be in the car.

The whole Cujo things cracks me up.

What I like about this episode Gizzie wise is that Izzie gets really worried over the possibility of George moving out of the house, so she tries to convince him to stay.

While Meredith couldn't care less. That's why some times I was angry at George, because he had a crush on the wrong woman. The one who cared for him was Izzie. Why couldn't he be in love with her?

And the way she looks at him when they're making that stomach-blow-inducing hot dog contest is hilarious.

There was an interview in a NZ tv magazine with TR and KH, and Kara typed it up in the Linen Closet forum. I loved this part:

I think Izzie deserves some happiness after losing Denny and I'm really committed to this storyline. I really believe in her and George. There are moments where you see them together and I'm like, 'See that's why' - because there is such pure joy for her to be around him.

edit again: Oh, and TR said that he, Katie and Shonda talked about the possibility of George and Izzie getting together someday during the pilot. Not only did Shonda plan it from then, but she talked about it with them. So maybe he did throw in the 'Yes I will' (to the 'no matter how hard you beg, I am not doing you' line) because he knew there was a good possibility.

Thank you for the recap. G & I were adorable and funny in that episode.

I love that Izzie has never been able to stand the idea of George moving out or leaving SGH.

That reminds me of what Shonda said in the podcast of "Testing 1-2-3" and that I LOVE. She totally summed up what makes their relationship so special. She said Izzie was trying to find a way to make George stay at SGH "because she loves him, because he's her friend and because she can't imagine life without him". Then, Shonda said she loved that Izzie "sort of sacrificies a piece of herself just so she can try to keep him there".

That's exactly how I see them. Whatever happens, George & Izzie need each other. Whether they are friends or lovers, they can't be separate for too long because they wouldn't "make it" (to use Izzie's words).

Last season when we slept together, the writers explained to me that for Izzie she was not in a place to even think about connecting with someone else after losing Denny. but their drunken one-night stand was so amazing, they connected so well and were such good friends that it wound up with her thinking 'I'm in love'. She tried to keep her feelings down because he's married but now she's not trying too hard to do that. it's still kind of confusing and up in the air where they're taking their relationship.

Shonda (Rhimes, the creator) and Heigl and I had talked about all this when we were making the pilot - the possibility that some day they'd get together. We thought it would be funny and also because if you're comparing hearts, theirs are fairly similar so that's interesting to explore. I think there are a lot of different ways to go and a lot of volatility and complication with pairing us up so it will be interesting to see where it takes us.

TV Guide: Didn't the TV audience react badly when they first go together?

Yeah, there was some vocal dissent. I think it's interesting to have to convince an audience to fall in love with these two people being together, to believe it. We will have to see if they are going to give us a chance to make this happen. But, unfortunately, there is this idea that a happy, healthy relationship isn't good drama so I think there will always be conflicts and problems for Izzie and George.

Do you want them together?

I've given up on thinking what I want because you can't help but get attached to your characters and you fight for them but you don't always get a say in whether they'll be happy or not. Whatever happens I hope he continually makes horrendous mistakes because that's exciting. interesting, and human and that makes him a real human being!

How did you two become such close friends? Had you met before the show?

No, we'd never met before but TR is one of those people who I like to call the host of the show, because when anyone new comes in or a guest star, he's the greeter and the host and the first person to knock on their trailer door and introduce himself and say, 'Maybe let's grab a cup of coffee or have lunch'. It;s really gracious and nice. I remember going into rehearsals before we even started, TR was the one saying, ' Let's all grab lunch after'. TR and I and Sandra (Oh) ended up being the only ones available. At the time I was single and he was single and I had my eye on him a little bit but I was getting nowhere!

I don't know why! (laughs) But it's rare when you meet someone you admire and respect and love and cherish so much, so I'm thankful for it. There are only a few people in our lives that you would lay down your life for, and she's one.

How tough has the past year been on you, TR?

They way I look at it now is I am grateful for all I learned. I learned a heck of a lot and that's where I am right now, so while it might be painful, in the end you can't help but learn and that;s a good thing.

It is a great interview and this proves that Katie is a Gizzie fan even though she does not like how they started, she wants them to make it and get a chance. I love this. I love how she says that being with George brings her pure joy, which is one of the major reasons why I love them, he makes her SO happy, happier than anyone else.

I love when the mags say people were against it AT FIRST (do love the at first distinction) and she says SOME, Katie always seems to talk for us.

I love that she said she had a crush on him in real life, so sweet.

And she confirms the belief that Shonda does not believe in happy couples, so them ending right now seem to have more to do with Shonda's veiw of couples than any backlash, which greatly relieves me.

Katie said there will always be conflict but do love the always, makes me think the George and Izzie relationship is not being faded out any time soon.

I read that interview on another Gizzie site, KL posted it, it is from the February New Zealand magazine. I knew Katherine was a Gizzie fan. She said it numerous times before, of course the critics only published her negative comments about the affair and never all the times she said she was rooting for those two and believed in them, how typical

In another interview about 27 dresses, they asked how she felt that her character there was in love with a George like Izzie is IN LOVE with George, squee, and she said it was weird because the whole season was about George and Izzie and now thta movie too. She said if TR had done the George role in the movie, she would have insisted they changed names, LOL. I loved how she said the whole season had been G and I.

I don't know, the way KH is talking here, I think she knew Gizzie would go on a break, same with TYR, but she made it seem like this was nowhere near the end of them and the conflict with them would still be there, so thta makes me happy.

Oh and how many times now did she mention her having an eye on TR, I SO love that, to know she had a little crush on him, so much for the people who say someone as beautiful as Izzie would never look at George, even KH had a crush on TR.

It makes me happy that she wants people to fall in love with them.

I love how she wants to win over fans too, and i think given the chance her and TR really could win a lot of people over.

I thought it was funny that the guy in 27 Dresses was named George.
