Not only that but Sara Ramirez said there was still hope for George and Callie, double ugh, it is really hard thinking Shonda has not let the backlash get to her reading that. Does she not hear us at all, so frustrating!

Ausiello doesn't seem like a Lexzie fan. I think he's a MerDer fan but that's about it. Just because he didn't like Gizzie doesn't mean he's rooting for Lexzie (he was actually very happy about the return of Ava). I'm also sure that Shonda doesn't decide on the storylines based on what Ausiello tells her because if she did Gizzie would have ended much sooner and MerDer would be together.

Don't worry about Ausiello. He doesn't have much pull in the Grey's Anatomy writers room.

He's just another TV critic like all the other ones out there.

I feel the exact same way. I adore Gizzie (it's my favorite couple ever, with Ron/Hermione) but, unfortunately, I'm not very optimistic by nature. That's why reading optimistic posts on this thread really helps me. Occasionally, I still get frustrated at some arguments but the ones like "George is shorter than Izzie" make me laugh. How shallow can people be, seriously ? I try to remain hopeful. Like some of you said, as long as the show lasts, anything is possible. Btw, I created a MySpace account today. There is this category "People I'd like to meet" and, at first, I left a blank. Now I know what I should put: Shonda Rhimes. I would really like to talk to her (nicely, of course). This way, I'd be sure she knows exactly how many Gizzie fans there are out there and what they think of all that. I know it's never gonna happen but ... One can dream, right ?

I know, I think as long as the Gizzie fans hang in there and let themselves be heard, there is always hope. The best way to contradict the critics is to show just how loyal a fanbase we are and how much we love this couple.

And I finally listened to the video, I did not want to at first as Aussiello always makes me slightly nauseous (even though he did make a very lovely tribute to Heath, which made me hate him less), but I did, and Justin is basically saying what he has always been saying, Alex has a thing for Izzie but is not ready for a relationship. As always, he did not say izzie had any feelings for him as we know she does not, it is always one-side. Sanme with Sara, it was pretty obvious in the last episode Callie still had feelings for George, and she might always, but he does not feel the same way. And they are both saying in this show, anything is possible, nothing in what they say makes me think it will happen.

I guess it is a lesson for me, watch the video in question before freaking out, LOL.

I've never had the chance to watch X-Files when it was airing in France (I was a bit too young) but lately, I've seen a few episodes.

You must be wondering what this has to do with Gizzie, right ? Well, I was looking at the Mulder/Scully quotes on their thread and I read one that I absolutely love. I'm sure most of you already know it but I thought I would post it here since it totally describes what happened with Gizzie. That's what Scully says:

"Well, it seems to me that the best relationships - the ones that last - are frequently the ones that are rooted in friendship. You know, one day you look at the person and you see something more than you did the night before. Like a switch has been flicked somewhere. And the person who was just a friend is... suddenly the only person you can ever imagine yourself with."

That quote is so beautiful. Everytime I read it, I think of George & Izzie sitting on the kitchen floor, looking at each other intensely and realizing that what Callie said wasn't so stupid after all. It also reminds me of my signature. I'm actually planning on using that Scully quote in a Gizzie video I'm working on.

Yes, Aussiello is an ass, I thought he was an Alex and Ava fan, hey e probably likes anyone that is not George and Izzie. That said, after watching the interview again, I am not worried. Justin changes tune all the time. First he was an Alex and Izzie shipper, than an Alex and Addie one, then he rooted for Alex and Ava now back to A and I. I guess most of those actors are multi-shippers, and right now with Ava gone and he and Lexie seemingly not working, of course he will go for A and I. That said, he did not look that enthusiastic. Ass asked him if he wanted it and he hesitated before saying yes. I could not exactly see him saying no, LOL. True. And with no more episodes having being filmed, and them probably not having been told of plans for future storylines - what they have is guesses and speculation just like us.

Alex does have to mature, but personally I don't think Izzie is going to be able to return the feelings. George/Callie seemed open ended except for Callie's comments about George not being the right one for her. Either couple could happen, but I think George/Izzie has a better chance. Again, just IMO.

I'd love to meet her to, although I'd want to ask mostly what her plans for G/I are.. and like she'd tell a fan that.

Wow. I think that quote is beautiful too, and it does seem very George/Izzie.

Exactly.

I wouldn't get paranoid with those comments. I think BGL has a pretty great chance of happening. It was ended in a very open way, they exchanged Iloveyous and said that the problem wasn't the chemistry but timing. I think they're gonna go there again.

Thanks for the recap. I love that episode. George is so funny in it. The scene with Doc at the beginning is great, especially when you hear him running and saying "Incoming !". The conversation about haircuts is cute too.
I love the way Izzie looks at George when they are with Alex and Bailey. And George's face on the last two pics is hilarious and a bit weird.
