I agree. I was a huge Alex/Izzie shipper. And sometimes I miss the old times. But I'm not sure if Alex would fall for Izzie again if she comes back. So many years passed by. People change. And yes, Alex moved on, with Jo.

Yes, she was disfigured and they gave her a new face. Alex fell in love with her and she pretended of having his baby. I really disliked the storyline because the actors didn't have any chemistry together. The relationship felt forced and came out of the blue. It was the writer's strike back then that ended the relationship. Alex was destroyed when he found out about her mental problems and realized that he couldn't help her. In his despair he turned to Izzie again. When the season started after the break Shonda tried to build up an Izzie and Alex relationship. Izzie got sick and they married in season 5.

They should at least give him something decent to do than to make him stay all the time hiding in the house.
