Yeah, Jo is focussed on her career, but since she worked her ass off to become a doctor and probably didn't have other priorities her whole life, it's very understandable. But in the "proposal" scene in 10x12 when Alex said "and if we have kids, we'll be great" she gave him this excited, loving look and a smile. Which tells me that she would want kids with him someday (which is a good thing because I want him to be a father already). I can see that she might think that now it's too early for them (and she'd be right about that), but I honestly can't see her aborting Alex's baby if she got knocked up. And with the way Alex acted in 10x15 (I think he said to Mer that Jo wants to be a surgeon and came from nothing to be here and that because of him she is putting her career in danger) I think the last thing he wants is to jeopardize Jo's career and push her for babies or something Marriage is a different topic because getting married doesn't affect your career, but having a baby does.

Oh and I really, really don't care about him remarrying either, as long as he is happy. I just brought up marriage because there will be enough babies on the show soon and sadly none of them is Alex's, so I guess a marriage is more likely to happen for him than kids

I'm wondering if the fact that Jackson will be a father will affect Alex. Maybe it will cause him to think about having kids on his own, but I can't really see him pushing Jo for them either. Maybe he'll bring up the topic though.

I know, right? You guys remember the look he had on his face when Jackson gave him his credit card to pay for the private jet? That look made me so sad because that was when Alex realized that he is basically broke and Jackson can pay 25 000 for a private jet without thinking. It does affect him when he sees what his friends have and he doesn't. Now that Cristina is gone, it's Mer, Jackson and April and all of them either have a family already or will become parents. I can really see him thinking about it more now, and I actually hope this will happen and that the writers won't ignore it.

I can see Alex wanting to seattle down, especially when everyone is... like the little conversation he had with Meredith last season in 10x17. I can see that come up next season.

I hadn't though of that. I think he may start thinking more about it now that all the other fellows/attendings of his generation are married.
