Wow, easily one of the best episodes so far since I tried giving up the show 6 years ago but still continue to watch!
- Found Maggie's storyline a bit pointless but that story aside, the rest of it was freakin' incredible! __________________

Yeah true. I just found it a bit pointless given the episode. Don't get me wrong though I love Maggie.

I thought Amelia was out of control. I get that she was shocked that the resident responsible for Derek's death was eating at the table and she was ambushed but she completely forgot that Meredith is struggling with her pain. Meredith couldn't say anything because she was shell-shocked the entire evening and had she carefully examined her face she would know something was wrong and wouldn't have attempted to demand attention over something as equally painful for Meredith as it is for her.
Another shocking thing with Stephanie's holier than thou speech. We never had any evidence that Jo was jealous of her in the past other than a few competitive squabbles. I thought her speech was smug and far-fetched. Neither of them have sold themselves as remarkable in comparison to the first batch of residents, so in my eyes she hasn't really out-shined Jo. I hope the speech motivates Jo to do something because it's really sad how disliked she is by her peers. One can't help but feel sorry for the underdog. I wonder why Penny sat there for dinner while knowing that she was sitting with the woman who lost her husband through her mistake. That takes a lot of guts or stupidity. She should have left when she realized the house she was in... I like that April is beginning to realize she messed up this episode, and that she made a huge mistake. Hopefully it leads to real confessions so that they can begin the reconciliation process. __________________

Maggie doesn't act like a woman in her 30s. Writing her like a 12year old who rants all the time gets boring..

I wish Maggie would miss some episodes. She gets far too much airtime. I think Thursday's episode was indicative of that. She had a subplot that was disjoint from the main story line just so she could receive airtime. Other characters are struggling to receive airtime/story lines so they can share the wealth if they wanted to...

She's clearly a favourite but I think this kind of desperation could eventually backfire in terms of likability. I never took a strong liking to her because I never understood how someone can have a centric episode just a few episodes after they are introduced into the plot when some have been around for seasons with no such episode...
I don't dislike her either (I'm indifferent), but I think I'd appreciate her if she would take a few backseats.. __________________

Just because she's in her 30s doesn't mean she's going to overcome her insecurities and social awkwardness (or even social anxiety?). Her subplot was pointless though and quite boring tbh. I wish the other guy stuck around, he was hotter.
I found both Amelia's and Mer's reactions realistic and consistent with what we've seen so far. But both need to get a grip and stop acting like they are the only ones grieving. Penny coming to the hospital is so ridiculous, obvious why they did it but out of all the hospitals, she chose the one in which Derek worked and Mer is still working at? And she didn't think she'd bump into her? She's on the board ffs. Also loved all the Alex/Meredith scenes. Felt so old school. I didn't quite understand Stephanie's rant and the conflict between her and Jo came out of nowhere but if it means more scenes between Stephanie and Amelia I don't care. All in all it was a solid episode, perfect mixture of drama and comedy. Could have done without the Maggie subplot though. __________________

I'm getting tired of Amelia and Meredith fighting. They need to come to terms with that Derek is (I can't use past tense) someone who's important to both of them and use that to their advantage rather than constantly attacking each other. It's beyond ridiculous by now. Last season they both spent the whole season arguing with Derek. Now they're spending this season arguing about Derek. It has to stop.
The scene everyone claims is so "award-worthy" reminded me of my 12-year-old self lashing out at my 5-year-old sister. Meredith is me, Amelia is my sister. Grow uppp... |

Can I just say Maggie and her love life is too forced and rushed at the same time
Meredith feelings are realistic she been through so much and she has kids ,so for her she has to pull her **** together. Alex and Meredith scenes Penny needs to go omg I felt bad for Arizona so awkward why would she have to be friends with her ex new GF Overall good Depp 7\10 |
