Well, it's not even like misspelling a word that only has one correct spelling.

Names are different. They have many variations. The way Ellen spelled Christina is, by far, the most the most popular variation of that name. When Shonda created the character, she chose to use a less popular variation by taking out the "h". It confuses a lot of people.

Yeah, it's kind of like how all the media from the live fb event was about Ellen leaving acting when she had said brilliant things about getting rid of labels. And then what happens? The freaking NY Times (which is supposed to be a highly credible publication) sticks a huge label all over Shonda and her shows.

People should've listened more closely to Ellen's diversity comments!
