Yeah she actually is PD's answer to Gail

I wouldn't mind Hank getting a date at some point though. Although he doesn't strike me as the type that would be all that into dating.

She died. I'd say he was a dedicated husband and it was her death that sent him down the bad path he was on when we first met him.
