So after last night's episode I found myself questioning if it was normal to go from hating him so much in Chicago Fire to REALLY liking him on Chicago PD. I'm sure I'm going to side eye some decisions he makes but I give major kudos to the writers for showing the layers and depth to this character.

This is exactly how I feel, right down to the side eyeing

He's shaping up to be one of my favourites. He is brilliant. He really comes across as a natural leader and I really buy that he is trying to clean up the city.

I never watched CF so I don't know why he was hated

but I am glad everyone likes him more now.

He was hated on Fire because he antagonised Casey and his fiancée after Casey ratted on his son for drink driving and crashing. His son got sent to prison and in the end Voight did too as he was a dirty cop (we later learn this isn't entirely true as you know from watching PD).

Yeah, after being given hints as to what he's done for Erin and seeing him with the kid who's name is escaping me right now there is definitely more to him than meets the eye. And then with the ending I think showed he still plays the edge of good/bad guy because he knows how to use people but there seems to be a reason, which is again so good for a character like him in my opinion. Jason Beghe has my respect for sure with his acting.

yeah Haylie, and more agreable than him being just one note or one dimensional character

from the promo, we are going to see again the kid that he helped in the pilot
