He doesn't wanna just jump back into another relationship straight away."

Things might be a mess in Casey's romantic life right now but at least his bromance with Severide (Taylor Kinney) is still going strong. The handsome duo will be hanging out a lot more this season, opening the door for plenty of hijinks and even a few heart-to-hearts. After all, Casey knows what it's like to date a co-worker and thus, has great insight into Severide and Stella's firehouse romance, which will get more complicated in the coming episodes.

"Because he's been through it himself, he's more worried about how it's gonna affect them personally and then their working relationships with each other. They're working in the firehouse together. It can get messy," Spencer explained.

Brace yourselves for even more drama as we head deeper into Season 7! However, it won't be all doom and gloom. Fire will balance those intense storylines more humor from Herrmann (David Eigenberg), Mouch (Christian Stolte), Otis (Yuri Sardarov) and Cruz (Joe Minoso), who serve as the show's comedic relief. Plus, it looks like several other firefighters will also step into the comedy game this season.

"We're gonna see Casey, Severide and Boden more crossed over into those lighter storylines which will be really fun," added Spencer. "It's sort of like a crossover within its own show because normally, we're not really involved in those storylines. It's gonna open up the world a bit for the audience."
