Matthew Casey
Lieutenant Matthew Casey is the leader of Truck 81. He is very dedicated to his job and has a strong sense of justice.
His colleagues sympathize and respect him. He is good friends with fellow Lt. Kelly Severide, even though they had their differences in the past.
He comes from a broken home: his mother Nancy spent 15 years in prison for murdering his abusive father. He defends his mother and supports her release on parole,
which causes his estrangement from his sister Christie. He eventually reconnects with Christie when he helps her divorce her corrupt, cheating husband.
