I hope for them to hide it. It makes for more tension. I know that everyone is going on about how Linstead is only ever going to be friends, at least some on twitter and tumblr are but the writers gave us these moments for a reason.

I can see him being protective of her but I actually think he may look out for Halstead too because he seems to really think it will end up badly and him with a broken heart.

I think he could have really had some bad experiences with her growing up so maybe he doesn't want that for him being as though he has said that he thinks he will make great police and he is a good addition to the team.

I think they will probablyl give Voight proofs that he he was right keeping them apart...like maybe some action going wrong bc Linstead making some mistake bc being too focused on each other....but then something happens that will convince him they are better together than with this stupid ban hanging over their heads...
