The back up thing is something great because it spans....well it has a potential to span across their professional life as well as private one. Like no matter what happens whether they together or not, they know they can always turn to each other and find that helping hand. Yes, we know Erin might've lacked that so far a bit but I know she is that person for Jay too.

They also both people with the past as I'm sure Jay's history is also not just peaches and cream and they both have parts of them that are bit broken inside....It's going to be great moment when they realize how deeply they can heal each other.
