I am sick of the lack of characterization on this show. I know its supposed to be the case of the week, but focusing on the characters' personal lives a LITTLE wouldnt hurt them.

The whole lindsay and jay storyline was/is just...odd. I understand jay has issues but their lack of follow up was bad.

Then the whole ruzek/burgess kiss that was never spoken of again....odd.

Chicago fire focuses more on the characters personally. I get PD is different and focuses on the case of the week and i like it but the lack of follow up with characterization has become very glaring and makes the show feel a bit empty IMO.

The hug was nice but I wish he went with her instead. It's like they weren't even together ever.

IKR!! You should check out some of the fanfic that takes this scene further. I've read two and in both Jay follows Erin. And if you want to know what happened next you'll have to check it out.
