[Episode Discussion] Chicago Med - 3x12 - "Born This Way"
 Chicago Med 9:00 PM Tuesday March 20th, 2018 Upon hearing news of a pregnant teen, Dr. Manning and Dr. Choi venture to a homeless encampment to help deliver a baby under dire circumstances. Dr. Rhodes and Dr. Bekker argue about the best way to treat a young boy with a chronic disease. Dr. Halstead and April are put in an uncomfortable situation when they find out their patient is a pedophile. Goodwin and Maggie have to deal with a lawsuit against the hospital. Natalie and Ethan delivering that baby was intense, and seeing the girl give her up was heart wrenching, even if it was really what was best for the baby. I loved that it seemed to encourage Ethan to make real contact with his sister.
Connor and Ava's case was pretty intense too, especially with their disagreements. Not always easy when two doctors differ in their opinion as to the best course of action. Glad it all worked out for the boy in the end, though. Will letting his patient die after fighting for him to live was interesting. I totally get why the man wanted to die, but also why Will wanted to save him, as Boden said on Fire a couple of episodes ago, once they start questioning whether one life has more value than another, they can't do their jobs. That lawsuit stuff was ridiculous. At no point did anyone suggest that the paramedics should not tend to people with no insurance, and at no point did they suggest the hospital would turn them away. So Sarah's father is a psychopath... I hope she realises it/finds out soon, because he is manipulating her to an extreme and it has to stop. |

I agree, the scenes with Natalie and Ethan delivering that baby were intense. Glad we got to meet Ethan's sister. Hopefully we'll find out more about her situation.
Ya, that lawsuit stuff was just crazy...... I knew that nobody had ever said that, it was just that jerk trying to stir up things....  I hope Sarah finds out about her dad soon too! __________________

I can’t believe Reese’s father! I hope Reese finds out soon too. It’s so sad that Dr. Charles has to sit by and watch him manipulate her
 The baby SL was so sad. In the end, she knew it was best for her baby. The whole Connor and Ava thing is bad. I knew it wasn’t gonna work out and. Sad that hey went there with them. __________________
