I have a theory that might be crazy, but could work.

The warehouse fire in which several of 51's personnel were trapped in, including Casey, at the end of last season, was set intentionally as a trap.

The person setting it had to know 51 was at Wrigley Field with that kid and the Cubs players.

Thus, the fire was an attempt to assassinate Casey, not knowing he had just resigned as alderman.

I see that Casey and Mouch are listed in upcoming episodes...so at least we know Mouch won't die... I thought maybe that Cruz might run into the building because that fits he might do. He was so upset about Mouch collapsing. I think it will be Kannell that dies. That way someone doesn’t make it out, but not a major character yet.
