Overall it was a good episode.

Dawson sort of convinced Casey to go undercover after telling him that Nesbitt's business it to traffic girls from Eastern Europe.

Showdown between Truck vs Squad and I think Severide might start to see that there might be some truce in what Otis said about Rice.

I'm crossing my fingers Rice is innocent. He says he swears he didn't duck out. I love his character and I remember them saying Warren Christie could be a series regular for season 4 so I'm hoping that happens.

If it turns out that Otis was right and Rice actually is a ducker then Kelly and Boden owe him a serious apology. I thought Severide, Casey and Boden sucked as leaders.

Casey was too preoccupied to get involved, Boden more or less told Otis to shut up (which is a fair point but considering Otis seemed to be sticking to his story and had Cruz backing him up should have warranted at least some suuport). Severide was the worst. He's a lieutenant and his entire reaction was just so immature and snotty.

I do think Otis could have handled it better and not been so openly rude to Rice but no matter how he approached it I think Severide would have had the same reaction of not wanting to hear it.

Then Rice basically dumping Severide as a friend because he asked for his word that his mask hadn't malfunctioned? Not even proof, just his word. C'mon. These are grown men and the acted like highschool girls.

What was Rice talking about when he was saying the sanctity of squad? Is squad a more superior position then truck?

I think he meant that truck did their job for them, truck is essentially for fighting fires, squad is a rescue team. They also use different equipment. The show always made it seam like the squad team was more important and prestigious though but I have no clue whether that's realistic or not.

All in all it was childish though, like truck should have risked the men's life to wait for the rescue team. And the entire feud is childish and immature, they are grown men.

I agree that Otis could have and should have gone about it a different way, but Kelly was completely out of line. He's never been my favorite character but I never disliked him before.

I'm team no one in this. I'm more sympathetic towards Otis but he's acting really immature. There is obviously something fishy going on with Rice but he shouldn't be spreading rumours if he has no real proof to back up his claims, especially that they could essentially break a career.

What are your thoughts on Chili? She seems to be a nice enough character but the sub-plot with her invention is so boring. Herman is a great mentor but they could have given him somebody to look after who we've already met before, not a new random character.

NBC just released their fall schedule. Fire will now be airing on wednesdays instead of tuesdays, at 9, just before PD.

I like Chilli but I agree that her intro storyline is really dull. I wouldn't be surprised if she goes after the finale.

Where did you find the NBC schedule? Because I'm looking it on tvline.com and it says Chicago Fire is getting a late start this fall and won't be on until November in it's regular time slot on Tuesdays.
