[Episode Discussion] Chicago PD - 3x22 - "She's Got Us"
Chicago PD 3x22 "She's Got Us" - While responding to a call of shots fired at a family residence, Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) discover the only survivor is the youngest daughter who is traumatized. While Lindsay and Dr. Charles (guest star Oliver Platt) evaluate the girl and see if she can help identify the killer, Antonio (Jon Seda) and Olinsky (Elias Koteas) look into a pyramid scheme 'self-help' group for potential suspects. Meanwhile, Platt (Amy Morton) tries to make the case to Commander Crowley (guest star Barbara Eve Harris) for Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Roman (Brian Geraghty) to remain partners. Also starring Jason Beghe, Patrick Flueger and LaRoyce Hawkins. Guest starring Samuel Hunt. __________________

I really liked the episode. All of the unit was featured at one time or another and that was good to see. We even got a little Mouse scene. The case was horrific and the killing senseless. Linstead's scenes were perfection. I still laugh every time Erin says "not a chance" when Jay tries to suggest that he drive.
The little girl, Polly, gets props from me on her acting. She did a great job. Loved her connection with Erin and how she and Jay helped her to remember. I was surprised that Roman was not going to be cleared for patrol duty. Then at the bar when Burgess came in - what he said to her blew me away. "Move to San Diego with me. I love you. Probably."  Probably? Really? That declaration would certainly make me want to run right out and pack my bags. I hope you're sensing my sarcasm.  The promo for next week's finale has me very afraid.  __________________

Good episode.
Linstead was cute. Just move in together already Loved to see Dr. Charles again (after yesterday  ). Oliver is such a great actor. And shocked that Roman is probably being written off the show? I've always liked Roman and I hope he can stay. Also: Platt and Roman always have such fun interactions, this episode too. Atwater bouncing that guy off the fence was THE best. __________________

I really hope Roman isn't leaving. I haven't heard anything about Brian leaving.
This was a good episode but that preview for next week, holy crap.  __________________

I mean 'I love you. Probably.' such a Hallmark card moment right there. I can see why Burgess jumped into bed with him. So much better than 'I want to spend the rest of my life with you.'  |

I love Linstead together. Jay was so caring and there for and with Erin.
I don't want Roman to leave, but I don't want him with Burgess either. I didn't like the "I love you, probably." either. It didn't feel right and only one person said it to Burgess and meant it and that was Ruzek. I love Dr. Charles. Donna __________________

I really enjoyed this episode. I especially loved the erin/Jay parts.
But I didn't think this episode worked well as the episode before the finale. It would have worked better, IMO, 2-3 episodes ago. I'm really curious to find out if Roman really leaves next week, I do think he will. Obviously Kim will stay in Chicago so if Roman does leave the storyline will probably move back to Kim/Adam next season. The preview for next week looks so intense. I can't wait! |
