I love the scene with Alvin talking to Miles, getting the gun from him. So good.

I definitely liked this episode. I would say for me it was one of the best this season. I like the fact that we got to see more from Antonio and Olinski and Atwater. The episode was really balanced and I like those the most.

Plus the case was really sad, but it also seemed authentic.

Of course I also liked the promo for the next one. Can't wait for it.

Absolutely one of the best episodes this season.....I do believe the strength came from using the whole team, it can be done & I hope they continue...because that is what made this show so good in the first season.

Jon seda acted his butt off in this episode. Having kids himself, it's very difficult to help with cases with innocent young children.

Some people like myself don't come on here often. I for example forgot to comment in this thread.

This was a very emotional episode. The case was heartbreaking, and especially the fact that they actually made another kid shoot. Absolutely horrifying and sad.

Jon really was amazing in this episode, and he got a lot of praise on social media I especially loved the scene where he got upset in the interrogation room. It was a very powerful moment.
I always like seeing Antonio's kids or hearing him talk about them. He's such a dedicated father and that's something Jon relates to and it makes his performance even better.

It was really sad and unfortunately I read somewhere that this episode was based on a real case. This makes it even more heartbreaking.

Jon brings great authencity to his character when it comes to playing a father who loves his kids. He does great job in that. It sucks a bit that we don't see them that often as in Season 1, but it's still great that they manage from time to time to include them.

It is and Platt even mentioned the name of the boy who was actually killed - Tyshawn Lee. Devastating.

I also appreciated the parallel we got of Jay trying to calm him down and escorting him out and Antonio doing the same for Jay in the garage in the next episode. I love when we get to see that these people are more than just coworkers to each other.

Yes it's unfortunate. Sophia explained that the actors who play his ex-wife and kids don't live in Chicago and are auditioning and working on other projects, so scheduling appearances is very hard.

Honestly at first I thought that as sad as this story it is, it's just finctional and they made it this way for impact. When I realized that this was actually based on real case I couldn't believe it.

We don't see enough of their relationship on the show, but for me it's always been important as Antonio was the one that vouched for Jay in Intelligence.

This sucks but it's understandable. They are looking for work as well. So it's great that we see them even from time to time.

That explains why we haven't seen his ex wife since the split anyway

And what's even more heartbreaking, didn't the real life case happen in Chicago where the show is being filmed in?
