[Episode Discussion] Chicago Med - 3x10 - "Down By Law"

Chicago Med 9:00 PM Tuesday February 27th, 2018

After witnessing a drive-by shooting and hitting her head, Dr. Manning struggles with the aftermath of a head injury.
Complicating matters, she and Dr. Halstead deal with a teenage patient and her overbearing older husband,
who might not be looking out for his young wife's best interests. Dr. Rhodes finds himself in a unique situation when he
learns alarming information about the woman he went on a date with. Maggie is surprised to discover some unexpected
things about the man she has been seeing. Dr. Charles is frustrated when Dr. Reese disobeys his orders and puts
herself at risk.

Natalie and Will's case Glad the girl took control of her own health decisions. It couldn't have been difficult for her to decide to have a hysterectomy at 14, but I can see why she chose it, it could both save her life, considering her family history of cancer, and it can remove her from a bad situation because her "husband" clearly saw her as a walking womb and not a person.

It's probably for the best that Natalie didn't go home, or she would likely have been alone (probably with Owen) when she lost consciousness because of the concussion, and that could have been bad. She should have got checked out herself, tbh.

Barry isn't Barry!! And Maggie's got hurt again I was worried she'd get hurt again if she gave him another chance, didn't want to be right. I feel for him in his situation, though, shooting an innocent bystander while trying to protect yourself, your colleague and a patient from another shooter is not a great situation to be in.

I love Ava more with every episode. The way she messes with Connor and criticises his poor choices is gold. I love their friendship. Feel bad for the husband of Connor's ons. He seemed like such a great guy.

Oh, Sarah. Dr. Charles was right, she needlessly put herself at risk, her being right doesn't excuse that she knowingly went against her superior's orders and put both herself and the patient in serious danger while doing so. It makes sense that she'd still be behaving a little erratically considering everything she has been through, but that's more reason to listen to orders. She's not thinking clearly right now.

Is it me, or was there not much Ethan, April or Noah? Just seemed like Ethan/April treated the initial gunshot victim, but not really much after that, same with Noah treating Barry. Not a huge deal because it is quite a big cast so they can't all get loads of screen time every week, I just found it noticeable because they never really checked back in with Ethan/April's patient after all that happened before he ended up there.

Am glad the girl made her own decision! I really wanted to punch that "husband" of hers in the face!

Poor Maggie I wanted to hug her so bad. Getting hurt again by Barry

Loved the scenes with Sarah and Dr. Charles, and I agree with what he said to her too.
