The other thing that bugged me with the time issue was Cary commenting on Kalinda being scarce. If they had just talked like a day or two before, that wouldn't make much sense (unless they were in the habit of seeing each other pretty much every day, in which case, you've been holding out on us, Show!). Other thoughts... I'm a little bit obsessed with that threesome scene in Cary's office. I've always wondered how much Cary knows or has heard about Kalinda's sexual proclivities. Yes, she is intensely private, but she also seems to have a history of sexing up quite a few people in the Chicago justice system (Tony, Donna, Sophia, Peter, Lana to name a few), so there has to be gossip about her. How much has he heard, and how much does he believe? I think he was too distracted by the hotness of the women in the room to recognize the sexual tension crackling between them, but I could be wrong. (They weren't trying terribly hard to cover it up, with the "strange bedfellows" comments.) His head shake and exhalation when Kalinda left seemed to be more about the thrill of having her back in his office again and his overall attraction to her than a recognition of what just happened with regard to Sophia. I also wonder how much of their interaction tipped Sophia off to Cary and Kalinda's own "thing" - was it more obvious from Kalinda's behavior or Cary's? She knows Kalinda better, but Cary wears his heart (and other parts of his anatomy) on his sleeve sometimes. Obviously she read a bit too far into it (assuming something has already happened between them). That Will/K bar scene just kills me. "What are normal people like?" with the way her face freezes and then the smallest twitch of her mouth...I like to think she is remembering the last time she was talking to someone about normality. And a couple quotes about C/K from reviews I found for the episode: Culture Mob Quote:

I hate replying to myself and I hope no one thinks I am spamming the thread, but I saw this and it was too adorable not to post:
And this is very pretty-ful, especially with our background colors: (both found here, sorry I don't know more about tumblr to identify and link specific sources) Also, this thread does not belong on the second page after the episode we got Sunday! |

First of all, no one should EVER apologize for posting pretty things. EVER. (That absolutely genuine little smile in the first one is the cutest thing EVER. )
Second of all, I will be rewatching tonight. Of course I will be VERY carefully rewatching them. Cary had two hot women in his office. He is a man. I'm guessing that he had some dirty thoughts just like the rest of us. Beyond that, I don't know what he knows. I'm pretty sure he knows Kalinda's not a virgin. Whether he knows she swings both ways, I haven't a clue. Again, he probably wouldn't analyze that too deeply. He is a guy after all. Quote:
Thanks for bringing the reviews, too, btw. The Vulture one is hilarious, and I do think C/K have a better understanding of each other than other people do I believe that one is very true, too. ETA: These two are just...I love how she loves the new Cary. You know she does. You know she thinks it's kinda hot. And even Sophia sees the chemistry. She totally thought they were doin' it. __________________

In other news, I find something new to gush about every time I re-watch their scenes (which if I was counting would now be some black-holish type number I shouldn't consider any further)... I cannot stop watching that gif of Cary smiling in the doorway! And I adore the way Matt plays the moment where Cary thinks to look in the file on his desk and realizes what Kalinda did. I also found the Sophia/Kalinda scene at the campus interesting as far as implications for C/K. Sophia looked puzzled by Kalinda's reaction to the question about her and Cary. Was she surprised Kalinda would give up that information so easily, or was she thinking that Kalinda was just putting her off but that there was some truth to it based on how K reacted? The way Kalinda rolled her eyes and looked away when confronted about it was screaming that Sophia had hit on something. And I freaking love how she can't refrain from smiling when his name is brought up (Alicia in the bar scene and again here). Did anyone get kind of a strange vibe from the scene in the bar where they catch the killer? It's interesting, because the dialogue is about a love triangle that ended v.v. badly, and Sophia and Kalinda are looking at each other (rather than the killer) when they speak the dialogue. Something about it seemed like they were projecting the situation onto their own. The way Sophia said "You stabbed him" made me fear for Cary's well-being just a little. Quote:

I was watching AGAIN the bar scene and I noticed that Cary is playing with his left hand fingers and I'm not sure if it was just a Matt's thing or if it was a thing Matt "added" to show Cary's feelings... that he was nervous for istance. Or it was just nothing and I just watched to many times that scene.
Anyway I was wondering if Cary was also somehow putting to the test Kalinda and if her answers gave him another good reason to slip over her... __________________
