| Email: TuckerMax.com - DVD is out; next book has a locked down release date and is ready for pre-order DVD is out; next book has a locked down release date and is ready for pre-order In case you've missed it, I have two announcements big enough to require an email: 1. The DVD for the "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" movie is out. You can pick it up in any Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, or other store where DVD's are normally sold. Or you can get it at Amazon: Amazon.com: I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell: Matt Czuchry, Geoff Stults, Jesse Bradford, Traci Lords, Marika Dominczyk, Keri Lynn Pratt, Ali Costello, Meagen Fay, Jessica Williams, Susie Abromeit, Melissa Fumero, Yvette Yates, Bob Gosse, Aaron Ray, Da 2. My next book, *******s Finish First, has a release date; September 28th, 2010. You can pre-order it now, here: Amazon.com: *******s Finish First (9781416938743): Tucker Max: Books Some additional things about the book: 1. I know AFF has been pushed back numerous times, mostly because of the movie, but not anymore. This is a locked, final release date. 2. AFF is going to be pretty much the same thing as IHTSBIH: Funny and true short stories about me and my life. No change in format or style at all. If you loved IHTSBIH, you'll love AFF. 3. It's going to be about 300 pages, the same length as IHTSBIH. 4. Unlike IHTSBIH, which came out in paperback and has never been in hardcover, AFF will debut in hardcover. 5. Also unlike, IHTSBIH, AFF will pretty much be all new material. There will be a small number of things you've seen before, but not in the exact form you've seen them. For example, The Midget Story--which is not new--is going to be AFF, but instead of being a stand alone story, it is going to be encompassed in a larger story about my Sexual To Do List. 6. I am going to do a HUGE book tour to launch this book, the largest tour I've ever done, even bigger than the movie tour. Right now, the tentative plan is to start the day it releases, and go all the way through to the week before Thanksgiving. If I do this, I should be able to do stops in about 45 different cities. The tentative tour schedule makes a conscious effort to hit many places I've never done signings or screenings before; places like Cleveland, Miami, Las Vegas, and New Orleans, and Canadian cities like Vancouver and Montreal. We will solidify the book tour schedule by three months out at the latest, so expect the final schedule to be posted in June or July. 7. I will be updating the design of this site, and putting a bunch of new things on here leading up to the release of the book. A list of chapters, book giveaways, all kinds of stuff like that. That will start in the summer and ramp up as the release date approaches. 8. There is also one pretty big announcement that is not in the press release: I not writing one book. I am writing TWO. This is one of the reasons AFF got pushed back; I needed more time to finish everything. By the time I finish writing up all the remaining stories I have to write, it will end up being about ~200k to 250k words, which equates to about 600-750 pages. I will use half of that to make up *******s Finish First, and then the other half will be my third book, called Hilarity Ensues, that will come out at some point in 2011. EDIT: Oh yeah, since it's in the press that Simon and Schuster put out, release, I might as well mention it here: I moved to Austin, Texas. I hated LA, and lived there only because of the movie. Once that was over, I could move anywhere I wanted to write my book. I thought about San Francisco, because I've never really lived there, and Chicago, because I love it so much, but settled on Austin. It's awesome here; warm weather, hot girls, so much to do, and a ton of bars. I live right downtown, between all the bars on 6th and Town Lake. It's a perfect place to write; nice people, lots of fun, and a really positive energy everywhere. I like it here a lot; I may end up staying after I finish the book. __________________ You're here for a good time, not a long time. ~ Colin McRae http://mytvobsession.blogspot.com/ - Mel Avatar by Jess | |||

I totally get your point Jess about the bathroom scene, as gross as it was, it was needed in the movie. It was ten times more realistice than anything in the hangover. I rented the Hangover a couple weeks ago, and was not that impressed. It made me laugh a couple times I guess, but it was a horrible, unrealistic movie. Ive never been to Vegas before, but it seems hard to believe you can do all that in one night, the characters were aweful and way too stereotypical too. Beer in Hell is honestly one of the most realistic comedies Ive seen, at least that I can remember right now (its been a long week though, Im running low on brain power, TGIF! ) At least they showed Dan getting arrested, normally in movies they always make the characters invisible to getting in trouble, in this movie they faced that head on, its a refreshing change. Alright, I think thats enough thinking for tonight, especially being its Friday night, talk to you more tommorow! ![]()

| Fan Forum's Finest ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was really suprised that the hangover won an award, wasn't it a golden globe or something like that (there have been so many award shows lately, hard to keep track, hehe) ? It definetly was a guy movie, and while I can see why so many people found it funny, I just found the whole movie stupid and unrealisitic. It had way too many sub plots, one of them marries a stripper, takes out his own tooth, they steel Mike Tyson's tiger, have a crazy guy pop out of a trunk, play black jack and win a bunch of money, find a baby in the closet, loose the groom, and of course they can't remember any of it being they got so drunk. And a lot more happened than that, those are just the things that come to the top of my head at the momment. Its definetly geered more towards guys, with all the hijinks and everything. I love that Tucker was right all along (well at least with the fact the movie is good, he wasn't so good at predicting how much money it made in theatres ) There are so many people that hate the movie, its crazy, Ive gone over the imb board for the movie and there is so much hatred on that board, its depressing that people spend that much time hating someone they don't even know. Thats a waste of time in my eyes, if I don't like something I just move on to the next thing, why waste time thinking and talking about something you don't like? I ignore what the critics say, I would rather make my own opinion on something, or take the advice of friends and stuff like that. Its sad this movie isn't getting more press, I was watching the news last night and one of the stations was talking about new dvd releases that came out, and there was no mention of beer in hell. I think the title is working against getting more press, there are alot of conservative people out there who might not like the movie just because the word hell is in the title, and because of Tuckers reputation. I hope this movie does well on DVD, but I hate that Tucker is still relying on word of mouth, that obviously didn't work the first time, did it? ![]() | |||

| Fan Forum's Finest ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I haven't seen any ads either, I didn't see any when the movie came out in theatres though either. I stopped going to the imb board a while ago, and I think I only did it a couple times when I was bored and there was nothing good on TV, not a good combo. Nothing good comes out of that board, its somewhat similar to what the rudius media board was. I used to check that board quite regularly, especially right after Matt signed on because I was nosy and wanted more info. Did anybody on here have enough courage to post on that board, if so, you are a better person than me, I was way too chicken. Im going to repeat my question from a couple nights ago, I don't remember reading an answer: Tucker made a big deal in his blog that Europeans wouldn't understand the sense of humor in this movie and all the jokes being they were more "American" , did you guys have any problem understanding the movie? I personally didn't have any problems understanding the humor, I was suprised that Tucker made a big deal about it, what are your thoughts? | |||

I can't list a example right now, but mostly it happened when it was followed by a joke I did understand which made thinks easier

| Fan Forum's Finest ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The only example I can think of is the Scott Peterson line Drew said after that bachelorette girl asked what his porn name was. Im sure there are others, but I havent had time to watch it since Wed so the lines aren't fresh in my mind. Have you guys heard about him, that was a huge story about 5 years ago here in the US, not sure if the news traveled across the pond or not. I want to talk about the female characters in the movie, most likely one at a time being I am busy today . My favorite female character was Lara. She had some of the best lines in the movie in my opinion. Her first line about Drews mom drinking while he was in the womb made me laugh right away, and the laughs just kept on going. She was more than just a stripper, she had a personality. So many times in movies where there are strippers, they are shown just as mindless idiots. She had a brain of her own and could stand up for herself and make smart comebacks to Drew as well as other characters. I did think it was stereotypical that she went home with Drew, but I guess that does happen in real life, so I will let that one slide. She must have made really good tips at her job, she had a really nice house for a stripper, and didn't she drive a mustang or something?? She had the most personality of all the strippers they showed, several of the other ones really seemed like mindless idiots. She could hold her own, it was refreshing to watch. There was a huge difference between the sex scene with her and Drew and the ones showing Tucker and the girls he was with. Drew and Lara seemed to really care about each other, you could tell it wasn't just a hook up or a one night stand situation that Tucker had throughout the movie. They were so sweet with each other, it was borderline adorable. | |||
