Exactly!

I think Morris felt like he had little time to achieve what he wanted, and to fix what was broken.. Or to spend enough time with the people that he loved..
it's like you have your life planned or maybe you don't but you have an idea, of what you want or you don't want, what you would like to do, you don't have it in stone but then you find out you can't and that everything you wanted to have it just won't happen because there's no time.

You put it so well Mariana

You could see that Teddy, Morris his friend also had trouble seeing that.. That he had trouble with facing the fact that he had little time left with his best friend.

I don't think you'll ever be prepared or that you'll know how to handle that. It's even harder I think that when people die of all the sudden, cause when you know before hand, it's liek you're trying to make every minute worth while, you're constantly thinking about it, you try to capture every single second of your last moments together

It's harder when people die all of a sudden.. At least I think it is.
Like you put it, when you know it's going to happen you can make certain things happen, if time lets you that is.
Sadly for Morris it went pretty quickly. At least by watching the movie I felt like it went quickly for Morris and the family.

it did go quickly

I don't know it's hard inboth situations I think. Because you're left with the what ifs. the things you should have done or said.

especially at such a young age.

I think in a situation like this, you really think about if the choices you made were right and what you really want to do.. Morris was really focused on the latter.. What he wanted to achieve..

I want to see the alternate version.. I want to see what Morris does when he doesn't die, but does change his life because of what happened.

I can see that.. Or like Logan in late S7.. Deciding what he wants and going after that..
A bit of Logan S5, for the daring bit, and Logan S7 for stepping up to his family and deciding on what he wants..

Maybe we could find it somewhere, or at least a synopsis from somebody of what the alternative ending entails.

I think we could put a piece of Logan in each and every character that Matt has played

Maybe we can find it on IMDB?!

Here's one response, though the main question if Morris survived.

Quote:
At the end of the film it says that he survived his ordeal and that he was a able to convey his story to others about survival and life.....something along those lines but it said he survived his ordeal. I am going with the thought that he lived!
It's possible that they put the alternative ending version on TV. I heard that one channel shows the alternative version and the other just shows the version where he dies..

It would explain why people have seen the alternative ending on tv, while not owning the dvd.

The version where he dies, is the most tearjerking version IMO.. I think it shows the message of the movie in the best way
